This is one of the most memorable games that I attended....our late comeback against Newcastle. I've told you this before, but one Newcastle fan said he went into a carwash winning 1-0 and came out having lost 3-1.
We've been a bit of a bogey team to Newcastle, down the years. It's a wonder the True Geordie has a soft spot for us. Which he does.

A young lad who calls into my local and is on the ground staff at St Mary's told me and my mates this evening that the rumour going the rounds at the club is that VVD to Chelsea is a done deal and that Liverpool are whistling in the wind. I believe this because a neighbour who works in the accounts department at St Mary's has been saying the same thing for over a week now and she has never been wrong. Apparently Chelsea see him as the perfect replacement for John Terry and a future club captain.
Gutted if true....though 'done deals' have been wrong before. We have been 'managing' since his injury, but how much better could we have been with him being fit? At the worst, I think we could have had a couple more wins....perhaps the Cup. We will never know.
Pure fiction like three quarters of what you read on the internet and everything you read in the Sun and the Mail. I made it up to piss off the Scousehampton fans.
