Waitrose do good reductions on flowers & if you choose a few individual bunches they'll put them together in a poncy bouquet whilst you're drinking a free coffee.

    It's sorted, tomorrow it is.

Woke up at 6am up to an overflowing header tank in the loft. Was at screwfix picking up parts by 7am and just finished changing the ball-cock and more or less re-plumbing the whole thing.

Grass is about a foot long and soggy as, so that needs cutting, but need to repair the electrics on the mower first.

Wish I'd gone to work as normally do on a Saturday morning.

    Check last nights lottery ticket
Take 'her indoors' over to her mothers
Look to see if any new houses for sale nearer home whilst trying to convince her it isn't any colder 'up north'
Follow up on planning to lay new patio if not (must be some football on somewhere)
Talk about wedding (well listen to her talk about it anyway)
Remind her son that he needs to get flowers and card

Meet up with the boys in pub car park, tear round A/B roads on the way to Willie Woods for coffee - after coffee leave Willie Woods for the Bardney TT, stopping for fish and chips in Wragby, back to Willie Woods for coffee and a slash. Football, what football?

Been for a five mile walk, collected car from Hotham Arms after a friends 60th last night, now got to go to House of Fraser to collect 60th present that didn't arrive in time for the party.

Car key needs a new battery and the offside brake light needs a new bulb, but I just took a look and it all looks far too integrated/complicated, might have to leave that one.

Got Father In Law coming out of a care home for the afternoon, then I might be going to the Woody Woodmansey thing tonight, still waiting on a call on that one.

Gardening in the lovely warm sunshine down here.Looking on Rightmove for homes around South Cave. We were burgled a couple of days ago all my wife's and her late Mother's jewellery taken. My wife is feeling very unsettled and thinking of moving from what we thought was a lovely quiet village ( Ours being the only house burgled )and hopefully will decide to move back up to East Yorks.
Keep you fingers crossed for me.

    Haha
I literally just got woken up by the dogs barking!
Was at Country Park for Black Sheep earlier and just having a G&T in the garden.
Sunny afternoons are for drinking and snoozing!

Geezer in the village pub reminded us all of the fact it's 'M's D' tomorrow.

Then said - he didn't have much to do on Mother's Day , but on Father's Day he was all over the village....

Been raking about in the archives and came across some City Psycho magazines ( <laugh> ) i have number 2 Nov 1978, number 3 Dec 1978, number 6 Apr 1979, and one with no number on it but could be the first magazine produced.

Will see if they can be scanned or photographed and post them on here, they make interesting reading.
