Quiet tonight. The calm before Sunday's storm?

 

I reckon so mate.
All the boards seem to die off in the summer as people jet off and footy stops.
What we need it's a kind soul like Rolando to set up another game.
We can pop a thread up on the Mackem board and get a few of those lads involved as well.

 

Think I'll be quiet on here, already got one or two plans this summer, mainly around the cricket and my 30th birthday next month. Also want to start looking at moving out of my parents house.

 

I always forget there's a "bar"

 

Good timing Roly. It's your round and we'll be needing LOTS of drinks lined up for tomorrow.

 

I'm feeling generous as it happens. I may be supplying bags of limes, gallons of ginger ale and at least 3 types of rum. Someone better bring the ****ing ice.

I may also bring a new game to the forum - "Resistance"

 

Hangover from hell yesterday and today. Too much rum. Absolutely hanging.

Missus opened a bottle so I had a few glasses of prosecco in the afternoon to watch the cricket. FFS. I think I just topped back up. Doesn't half give you a dry mouth.

What about Stokesy though. What a ****ing leg-end.

Unbelievable he's going to win the Ashes for us, then return to Durham to win us the T20 and the Royal One Day Cup again. Oh and we're now top of the Championship.

 

Big win against Worcestershire. We looked all set for a defeat there. Been really impressed with Rushworth, I think he is the new Hoggard.

Durham have done well, having Colly back in the fold has been massive.

I have been raving about Stokes for years now. He is just one of those characters, he loves the big occasion. I know there is still a massive clamour for KP but I think we have enough top young talent anyway. It just needs harnessed. Balance is worryingly out of form since his injury. I think he could have done with some first class cricket personally. Now we find ourselves between a rock and hard place with him.

 

Can he play at left back?

 

Like the look of Ballance to be fair. Durham proving me wrong tonight so far, getting battered off Leicestershire.

 

Finally the old **** Blatter quits.

Good thing is him and Bell will go back to their counties and get game time. I expect both to get themself in the runs. Moeen needs time in the middle for both disciplines.

If we don't start taking catches it'll all be meaningless though. Standards have been awful.
