please log in to view this image Hull City Supporters’ Trust is asking all fans to join in a protest against the scheme at the Brentford match on Tuesday night. Despite the very vocal concern of thousands of fans about a scheme we have dubbed “morally reprehensible”, the club seem determined to press on with it. We’re asking all fans to hold up A4-sized red cards (HCST will be supplying these at a variety of points outside the stadium, but by all means bring a stock of your own to give to your neighbouring supporters) as the players and officials line up for the sponsor photographs. We’d also like them to blast out, “Membership scheme, you’re having a laugh!” at the same time. Once the match has kicked off, it’s back to supporting the team, but if at half-time the club again try to sell the scheme, we’ll repeat the protest. It’s really important that people demonstrate how unhappy they are about this iniquitous scheme. Even if you’re saving money, spare a thought for those juniors and seniors who will now be excluded from watching City in what will likely be a disastrous move by the club. We’re also calling for volunteers to help distribute the A4 “red cards” HCST have sourced. If you’re interested, there will be stocks of cards available from 6 o’clock at the main walkways to the KCOM Stadium. Please don’t dispose of the sheets as darts, you might need them again for the Bolton and Rotherham matches! Otherwise, perhaps use them to write a note to the owners and deliver them to the club. HCST wants to be seen as an environmentally friendly, professional fans’ group. http://hullcitysupporterstrust.com/show-the-membership-scheme-the-red-card/
not many people have red paper lying about, will white, coloured in with a felt tip suffice? asking for a friend.
It's not very clear is it, I think it's being updated, when it is I'll amend it. (Edit - Now updated) Don't worry though, there will be thousands of pages of red card being handed out round the stadium tomorrow night.
I just cannot begin to explain how angry & frustrated I am about this scheme. Get those red cards out lads, we can't let this happen. This is for the future fans of Hull City AFC and for us slightly older guys who just want to watch our home team.
Will the north stand be singing about it? Or are they happy with it? I thought we'd have heard a bit more from them on Saturday!
Hard to believe that in almost 4 hours only 5 posts on this subject. Is everyone happy to earn their stripes?
I think we were asked to support the team. We did. No one (SB) can blame the result on disquiet on the terraces/divisions between supporters and owners.
I keep saying it but those concessions appeal to an awful lot of the pass holders. Just done a 12 hour shift
there is no point singing about it when the people its directed at are not there.. visible protests that can be pictured for the press are more likely to make a dent then a few songs..
As soon as the west stand start singing 'memberdhip scheme you're having a laugh', the North stand should start booing
Is there a danger that posting the plan would effectively cause searches for this kind of thing at the gates? Might just be paranoid, but it's mentioned on here often that the club read the boards. You how ****ish the owners can get, I just don't want to gift them the opportunity of ruining the protest before it's even started.
My grandson and I are in N1. The new scheme as it stands actually works out cheaper for me... but I don't agree with it and will be opposing it vocally. It was an odd atmosphere in and around us on Saturday and there were a few Hull based/born TWS supporters sat trying not to give themselves away!
