I can see the a loan happening which would be the worst outcome for the team.

They surely won't let that happen? With the utter arse that he's been for the last 2 months, he's not in the position to sanction a nice comfy loan deal that will pack him off to a dream club and leave us without a penny; we're either gonna cash in on him for big bucks or force the **** to play.

Doesn't look like Sissoko to Inter is going to happen?

Linked with a cash and Bentelab swap from the Spuds?! Don't know what he is like but they rate him at £15M.

That's a much more realistic value than others we'd heard. Pre-Euros I'd have laughed at anything over 10 mil.

Linked with a straight swap for James McCarthy

You'd have to think we could get more for Sissoko than they could for McCarthy.

You would think but here we are still stuck with the miserable waste of space! McCarthy is just as good but more consistent!

James McCarthy never gonna happen. I'd swap him and Sissoko tomorrow

has he not gone yet ?
if not, is he available for selection or is he just feigning injury and being unprofessional
unlike his compatriot who has put in a shift despite knowing that his time is up
if he has no medical condition stopping him from playing, he should be fined

Gouffran? I think it's a mistake getting rid of him right now, he was made for this division. He always puts in a shift and although he lacks the guile to do it regularly or convincingly in the prem he's better than many of the other players people suggest we currently play out on the wing.

Gouffran has 1 year left on his contract so it would make sense to keep him. He won't pull up any trees, even playing in the second tier, but he is steady and hardworking and is an extra body in a season with a lot of games.

As for Sissoko, there must be an agreement one way or another that he won't play. I don't really believe he's been injured for 6 games.

It is possible that he is refusing to play and is being fined. Probably more likely that the club are not risking him getting an injury since they think he's worth £35m.

I would imagine all parties are trying to engineer an acceptable move. If that doesn't happen then I suspect he will be reintegrated into the first team and will endeavour to perform with as much heart and effort as he did for the majority of last season...

They really don't think he's worth that they just hope some other poor bastard is stupid enough to think he is.

It would be funny to watch him play in the Championship, tripping over his bottom lip every 30 seconds. However, even if he isn't bought I think he'll end up somewhere on loan. It'll go to the wire by the looks of it; I think clubs may be playing us to see if we drop our valuation or some of them maybe holding out for a loan. It's certainly not that nobody is interested.

Agree. It was the starting price for negotiations with Real Madrid, Man Utd, Arsenal and maybe Juventus.

He'll go for 20m ish. It's still crazy money, anything over 10m and I'll feel we've fleeced someone.

I'm expecting around £25m. It's probably fair given the prices players are going for right now. While he is pretty unprofessional in terms of giving his all, he is very good in one aspect of midfield play in that he's good at running fast with the ball. You just have to hope any suitors don't realise that he almost never does anything with the ball at the ned of those runs.
