Didn't deserve to loose that one not our day even the green army would have taken a draw but we did lack a bit of class in midfield Beano excluded and turned into a long ball team for the last twenty hopeful punts to the two big men Thompson had a quiet game, Plymouth did the time wasting bit but can't complain what goes round comes around
Hard game but have to be happy with the points today. What was the purpose of the tracking equipment your guys wore? Is your pitch that big they need to have homing equipment to find each other.
You win some you lose some fair play to Plymouth they are having a good start to the season. Looks like they will be there or there abouts for the top six come the end of the season
I still think we will be lucky to make the play offs this year but I will be extremely happy to revise that opinion in the New Year. Cambridge Exeter Leyton Orient Luton Morecambe Northampton Oxford Utd Plymouth Portsmouth 5 of the above will finish above us. I'm hoping at least 3 of the others won't
You should take some heart from the fact your season has carried on from last term so far so there is nothing to get uptight about just yet. There is a very long way to go and any or all of your list Ron could disappear from the rankings. The one I'm surprised at so far is Portsmouth if I'm honest. They have had more than a little rub of the green so far as far as Referee help is concerned. Red for the opposition keeper yesterday and 2 pens against us one of which was definately a gift from the man in black. Their results so far for a club that is everyone's stone banker favourite to go up have been with assistance or patchy. Exeter could fall away if history repeats. I don't fancy Luton much personally. Northampton aren't lighting fires. We seem to struggle to maintain position or at least did last term. I am a bit more confident myself about our chances this season though with a gut feeling it will be a good one. That should put the mockers on it then. There is no reason why you can't be as consistent as last season.
Anthony Stewart is out until the New Year (I believe). Injuries like that leave us vulnerable. Apart from Saturday (following the addition of Ugwu on loan) I think we have had a full bench on just one occasion. More injuries will be a serious problem. With Stewart out we have to face, in the space of 14 days, 4 of the teams on my list; and one of those is at home to Cambridge on a Tuesday night . If we haven't dropped further down the League after those I will be delighted.
