A West Ham United H Norwich City A Everton A Cardiff City H Aston Villa A Fulham H Southampton H Stoke City A Newcastle United H Hull City I'd be worried if we don't see 18 points from those games which would put us on 26 points. That would leave us needing perhaps another 8/10 points from, H West Brom H Crystal Palace A Norwich City H West Ham United H Cardiff City H Swansea City I reckon we'll confirm our safety against Cardiff and the Swansea game will be a party with the League Cup on display -
i firmly believe we will go 2014 until the season ends at home undefeated, if we dont then we deserve to go
No. these are just winnable games against the likes of West Ham ......... to qualify for the Champions League we'd have to beat many of the top 6 home & away. You'll notice those teams weren't included in the original post .......... if not, it's the post at the start of the thread, you'll find it
this is the thing smug, folk tend to look at the end points figure, not what got you there, we've done our time this season. Its now in our hands, if we **** this up now it'll smart, keeping the faith isnt easy atm Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
fact is all games are winnable as they are open to a loss ,we have not won enough to date thats why we are rock bottom,i can think of three games which imo were as you say winnable , nine points difference instead of the eight we have at the moment it would be seventeen ,football makes you happy or makes you sad ,at this moment in time ................same time next week
One things for certain is if we haven't won at least 5 of the next 10 (or a minimum of 15 points from whatever combination of results), the 10 following that will be completely irrelevant as far as our current season is concerned? We should target 30 points between now and May in the remaining 25 games to give us any hope of staying up. I believe tomorrow is a must win game as we need to start drawing a line in the sand as far as this season is concerned and put a run together. Draws are no longer going to save our skins and only 3 points now will keep us in touching distance of the bottom 6 or 7 teams. A draw would be okay but defeat a disaster. I think even Gus himself is now seeing that we need to win in his body language in interviews this week. You can sense the urgency in his voice and his manner now compared with say 3 or 4 weeks ago. I'd go down there and play 2 up front against a pretty weak midfield and powderpuff attack of WHU. They cant score goals either so the first goal will be absolutely crucial and we need to get it first. Still confident Gus can turn this round but every week that goes by and every game we lose is denting that confidence somewhat.
I think Poyet, the players and supporters know that the period up to Christmas is critical. We have the right manager and enough good players to be able to survive, we just need to cut out the needless errors and have a bit more luck with decisions. If we can get up a few places I'm 100% certain Short will back Poyet in the window. Haway Lads, today's the day.
I can't wait to stick it to some of the ****ers who visit our board. For a start most of them haven't even seen us play, they're incapable of assessing a fixture list and have no ability to count the points dropped by sendings off and own goals. Thick as pig ****e man. Our squad is way stronger than Hull and West ham and I bet we finish above them both. Bet I have to hunt them down to stick it to them because they won't be seen round this board once I'm proved correct.
