I make that 7 players in and only Whitts and Lambert of the main squad have gone. Need some wages off the book so who next?

With Manga back in the fold I wouldn't be surprised at all if Wednesday don't push their offer for Morro up to a level that City would take it. With Patterson coming in as well the back line looks really healthy now - do we really need Declan and Halford hanging around?

Tomlin, Mendes-Laing and Damour arriving In midfield, Noone must be top of the list to go, and O'Keefe is surely surplus to requirements. Plenty of options out wide with Hoilett, Kadeem, Pilks, Mendez-Laing and Kennedy to choose from.

Up front it's Lambert out and Ward in - I'll take that - but the two foreign imports Fred and Idriss look to be destined for loans if not sold. I'd prefer to give Meite a chance on the bench and there's still Healey to come back.

    Who would you move on?

Declan and Noonie as Colin has already shown them the door.

O'Keefe probably as he has upset Colin - anyone know how or why?

Idriss needs to be given a chance to show what he can do but Gonzo should be given a one way ticket to oblivion.

Kennedy - I'm not sure. Did well in Div. 2 but can he do it in the Championship? Plymouth would love him back.

Agree with the first four but keep Halford as a bench player.
Connelly likewise especially if Morrison goes.
Kennedy has talent but whether he's good enough is debatable.

I suppose longer term contracts means more tangible assets increasing the value of the club ready for a sale.

    Good news that.

Move a few on and Colin can focus on the games to come.

Unsure how he'll get his favourite player Bamba and Manga and Morrison on the pitch at the same time if he's going to play 4 at the back?

Morrison is worth a place for his goal threat but how many times last season did he get out jumped in his own box?

Glad he's staying though as there'll be injuries, suspensions to cover.

I think he'll play 3 at the back, he must think a lot of Morrison as he's still captain, signed new contract and we turned down a reportedly big offer from Wednesday.

Thought he might have stayed. More interested in gonzo going.

I suppose we have Healy to come back later in the year. Our attacking options are looking ok at the moment.

I agree about Gonzo being a better candidate for the axe, but unlike Saadi, perhaps no one wants him?

Assuming we're not getting a replacement, I'd have kept Saadi as an option until Healey was fully fit and that is unlikely to be this side of Christmas.

The ones for the future are interesting but this all about here and now this season for me. Tomlin could well be the missing link we've lacked in the No.10 slot that'll make all the difference.

Could Ward fill that role? Knows how to play left wing and striker, could be brought into the middle if needed?
Agree with the above, not devastated, by expected others to leave before Saadi.

You have to back the managers decision. He must have not seen enough in Saadi and possibly Saadi wanted to play in Europe. What is surprising is that NW said Saadi would get a chance; well he did and netted in the 7-2 rout but something behind the scenes obviously has occurred.

Disappointing as we'll never know what he could have done. But like Frey and Guerra, they all had about 20 minutes of league action, showed great promise but in the end we're just guessing.

The issue is now our lack of forwards. Zahore, a goal shy Ward and Meiti (Fred?) are all we've got. Healey won't be match fit for months. That's not enough; NW needs another striker. Pilks is not the answer. NW said he'd only add to the squad if players left. He has to get someone in. Now is the time to get in a really pacy striker from the lower leagues to make an impact off the bench or someone experienced on loan who is not carrying an injury.

Incidentally what has happened to Mark Harris? Is he injured as he didn't feature at Plymouth.

He played (and scored?) against St Austell for the U23's last night.
