While they're at it they can destroy the smuggling boats and apprehend the vile criminals making money out of other people's misery and desperation.

I'm not sure what you're getting at. There are Israeli citizens of Arab Muslim origin and Israeli citizens of European Jewish/Middle Eastern Jewish origin, yes. My point is that Syria refuses to recognise Israel and refuses admission into Syria if you have an Israeli passport. They wouldn't accept Israeli refugees if there was a civil war in Israel. They only recognise Palestinians as refugees because they don't hold Israeli citizenship; they are citizens of the Palestinian State according to the PLO and Arab League.

 

A group of Israeli ultra orthodox students strayed into a Palestinian part of town yesterday! Their car was torched as they feared for their lives! They were taken in by a Palestinian family and given water, While they were waiting to be rescued. This family should be treated like heroes but I don't think Hamas will have the same view sadly.

There has been a long running civil war in Palestine/Israel. The Arab countries have given refuge to hundreds of thousands of victims of the civil war over the past 60 years.

The point I was trying to make is this is hardly going to affect many in Hull. . If we look at the numbers in a very broad manner ,You first take the number of refugees GB will take, you then divide proportionally by, countries and then the amount of cities in the uk and by supposed preference of destination. By the time you get to Hull, I'd be surprised if more than 500 refugees headed there. That's not really going to affect anyone.

God knows we could do with a few more seats filled at the KC.

Bit harsh on the USA because it's a bit of a walk from Syria to the nearest border, I.e. Canada or Mexico and I seem to remember that about a million Vietnamese have made American soil since their war in 1975
