    We took my Dad to the forts for a banquet dinner on his 60th..... I remember looking down from the fort at the sprawling concrete pit below, suddenly realising why the forts were there in the first place. Have they announced the date for the firing of those canons?

    To be fair sometimes you just have to be there to appreciate some rib ticklers, then the moment goes, or the alcohol wears off.

    In 1984 my hospital footy team thought we were highly humorous registering a "ringer" as Jocelyn Box. Then spent the whole year realising what idiot oafs we were and expecting retribution and shame to follow. Mind you, we had considered Hans Holder as an alternative, but we felt he'd be forced to play in goal.
