RULES

Scoring
Any player scores = 1 goal added to your match total

Every second assist from the defence and midfield = 1 goal added to your total score, ie
2 assists from the defence and midfield = 1 goal added to your total score
4 assists from the defence and midfield = 2 goals added to your total score
6 or more assists from the defence and midfield = 3 goals added to your total score
(Only assists from Defenders and Midfielders will count, except for the Captain)

Keeper concedes
0 - 1 goal = 0 goals added to the opponents total score
2 - 3 goals = 1 goal added to the opponents total score
4 or more = 2 goals added to the opponents total score
If the Keeper you select does not start in the match, it is an automatic goal added to the opponent's total score

Back Four/Five concede
0 - 2 goals = 0 goals added to the opponents total score
3 - 5 goals = 1 goal added to the opponents total score
6 - 8 goals = 2 goals added to the opponents total score
9 or more goals = 3 goals added to the opponents total score
Every Defender that you select that does not start will mean an automatic 3 goals to your defence's collective total.

Every time a player receives a red card that is a goal added to the opponent's score.

Captain
You can select one player as your team's Captain, the scoring is as follows...
DEFENDER...Every goal and assist will be doubled.
MIDFIELDER...Every assist will be doubled.
FORWARD...Every assist will count.

Formations
The only formations allowed will be 5-4-1, 5-3-2, 5-2-3, 4-5-1, 4-4-2, 4-3-3.

I will take all information for scorers and assists from the BBC website.

Match Points
The match totals will be added up and if you score more goals than your opponent you will get 2 points for a win.
Level scores is 1 point each.
You receive no points if you score less than your opponent.

Transfers
There will be a chance to refresh your squad every fourth Tuesday, when you will be able to make 2 alterations to your squad keeping to the £100m budget and swapping like for like players ie Defender for a Defender etc. and keeping to the one player from each club rule. The next transfer window will open on the 4th of October and will close on the 11th of October.

 

This is your chance to tinker with your starting line up if you wish and don't forget to select one of your players as Captain...The deadline for team sheets to be posted is noon on Friday 30th of September. If you do not wish to change your team I will copy it from last week.

I'm sorry SA (and Schad) I know I'll sound like a pathetic Serbian - but how did Schad get 8 goals last game? just want to know so I calculate it right next time (I do enjoy some sums on a Saturday afternoon)

1 from assists from Lallana and Bellerin

I guess I missed 2 more assists?

It's ok if you have a query SIS, I encourage people to ask if they are not sure (and i'm known to make the occasional cock up!...)

On this occasion though my sums are correct ( i do double check everything), it seems that you missed out De Bruyne's assist and he was Schad's Captain for this match, so the assist is doubled up to a goal....hope this clears things up,,,SA

 

Out of curiosity, what site do you use to pull the stats? Not that it matters in this instance, just curious because the Premier League's fantasy site gave KDB two assists against Swansea, which is why I had tallied my score as 9 in the previous thread.

 

Oh you little non rule reader you, Schad!....I use the BBC website as my only source of stats and I take what they recorded at the time as final...There can be no retrospective changes due to the dubious goals panel decisions.

 

I think that the Beeb's criteria for an assist is the last person that touches the ball prior to the scorer's attempt on goal.

 

They're also a bit more stringent regarding when the pass occurs; one of KDB's assists involved him making a pass that Stirling received 50 yards from goal, before Sterling did the rest. Given that something like 10 seconds elapsed between the pass and goal, I can see why they don't really credit him with creating the scoring opportunity.

Also: I'll read the rules when you give me (and only me) an unlimited budget and let me play a 0-0-10 formation. Until then, I will silently protest this injustice by either failing to read the rules or forgetting them as soon as I have.

ha ha I'm such a pain! so Mr. De Bruynes assist was because he was fouled for the penalty?

 

Actually, looks like he got the assist for Stirling's goal, and they didn't assign one for the penalty. Good thing we don't do this for La Liga; there'd be no point in chasing assists.
