Another tricky game which will be a significant turning point in the Season. Liverpool have found their feet whereas we seem to be falling back. The Manchester City game found us wanting and we will have to raise our standards to get a result. It rather depends on what teams turn up on the day, who will want it the most?

    Wahey! <diva>

Undoubtedly the biggest game of the season so far - really hope we turn up for this. One thing is for sure we need to start better than we did on Saturday, Liverpool are gonna come straight at us like they did at the Etihad a couple of weeks ago. We should know what's coming and I hope we've prepared accordingly.

Not sure anyone would argue with:
    Stekkers
    Cedric VVD Fonte Bertrand
    Wanyama Clasie
    Mane Davis Tadic
    Pelle

Need the crowd to be on form for this as well, annoying with the cup games that we lose a block of the Northam, need to stick with the team even if we are struggling. But here's to hoping for a first LC Semi appearance of my life <laugh>

Heading to this one on my own so is there any prematch beers anywhere?

As already said, we need to turn up for this one, from the first to the last whistle.
Passing and movement will need to be at the highest level, or we will be "high pressed" into more errors, and another defeat.
I can see the crowd turning on the players, if we start as slowly as we did at City, or equally, if we switch off second half, as against Leicester and Bournemouth.

Team wise, I would stick with Long upfront, simply because their high press needs a high defensive line, to prevent gaps appearing in front of their defence.
I would be interested to see if we can utilise the space behind them, using Long and Mané's pace, especially if we are pushed back and have to launch long passes (hoof ball? Never - long passes).

I'd play Maya in place of Cedric.

Onionman Jr and I will almost certainly be in the Old Farmhouse for about 6:30.

Not just the team that needs to show up. The atmosphere was very subdued even before we kicked off against Stoke (for obvious reasons). We need to make a lot of noise Wednesday. Difficult to predict the outcome of this one. Just hope its a really good match and we don't play powderpuff football.

I can see Lovren being affected by the reaction of the crowd toward him and that could work in our favour.

just make sure you remember to lock your car doors up / set alarms as there is a load Liverpool fans heading down. Is that unfair?

I hear that a secret mole platoon has been trained to trip up Liverpool players as they go by.

Traffic allowing (travelling from Northampton after school time!), we will aim to be in the Old Farmhouse too. It is on Mount Pleasant road. 10 minutes walk just North of the ground.

I usually park on Empress Road industrial estate 100 yards round the corner. There is also an industrial estate 100 yards over the level crossing by the pub, but that can be a pain if the barriers are down.

Even in his one good season, in English football, he was always prone to lunging in, when it wasn't necessary.
Get Mane (and Long) to keep running at him, and we might just see a penalty and/or a red card.
That would be worth the entry fee alone.

Oh, if they could give me a Lovren red card and a saints win, I'll stop off at the ticket office and pay double!

Would a Lallana OG be asking too much?

Taking Mrs JFB to this one - her only other game was a 3-2 FA Cup loss to Crystal Palace.
