You can watch Ron's presser retrospectively here: I found I had to scroll along until about 18:00 minutes before it actually started.
Peach says there is some news/comments on Rodriguez and his return but it is embargoed until late tonight.
I thought it was Les Reed hidden behind a former player.[/QUOTE] Yeah, who was that? Looked vaguely familiar!
Simon Peach @SimonPeach 5m5 minutes ago Koeman update on Rodriguez: "There's not any other positive news. He has continued working but I can't say now [when he is back training]" Can see why that was kept under wraps
I can't see any club being stupid enough to gamble mega bucks on buying JRod when he hasn't proven his fitness, proven he still has the blistering pace that was so essential to his success and proven his knee won't break down again. I don't see him getting much game time this season if he is still on the treatment table and some time off of doing any actual training so I don't see him getting a big money move in the summer if that club is interested in him actually playing and not sat in the stands making up the English quota (ie Man City)
We have shown muscle when we wanted to keep Morgan. We won't be weaker this summer than last summer, but actually stronger as we have proved ourselves for yet another PL season. Every team sells and buys a few players, but I am confident that we will still have a very strong team at the start of the next season. I think the major difference will be in the backbone of the fans.
Cruciates are difficult to judge and they can take a year or so to heal and then you just don't know how it will hold up, hopefully well but it is going to take Rodriguez a while. Getting back to Swansea, I think that they will have been encouraged by how Crystal Palace's attack with pace down the wings and big target man caused Saints problems and with Dyer, Montero and Gomis as they target (albeit no Bony). It will be a tough call between Gardos and Yoshida tomorrow.
