https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/squad-numbers-no10-justforstan/ 2017/18 Squad numbers - No.10 #JustForStan Ian Taylor @ijtaylor81 QPR's squad numbers for the 2017/18 season have been confirmed - and in the campaign that the club celebrates the 100th anniversary of our first-ever game at Loftus Road, there's a special tribute to our greatest ever player of all-time, Stan Bowles. For the entire campaign, the iconic number 10 shirt that Bowles wore during his time in W12 will be dedicated to the 68 year-old, who is sadly suffering with Alzheimer’s. Summer signing Josh Scowen will wear the number 11 shirt in his first season as a QPR player, whilst Luke Freeman - who joined Rangers in January - has been handed the number 7 jersey. Academy graduate Darnell Furlong will wear number 2, while Polish pair Ariel Borysiuk and Pawel Wszolek have opted for the numbers they wear on international duty, 16 and 22 respectively. Ryan Manning, who enjoyed a breakthrough season last term, has been handed the number 14 shirt, with his fellow midfielder Sean Goss wearing number 19. Shirt letters and numbers are priced £1 and £4 respectively, and from August 5th, for the entire season, supporters will be able to get 10 #JUSTFORSTAN on the back of their shirts for half price - at just £10! No Hoban. Don't year long loans get squad numbers or hasn't it actually happened? Smithies Furlong Hall Robinson Pavel Borysiuk Scowen Manning Shodipo Washington Sylla Best I can come up with. If Hoban arrives put him at the back and Hall holding mid, drop Scowen. Or play Hall CB in a 4 and go 4-3-3, if we think we have capable wing backs. Once again not sure where the goals are coming from. Who is the playmaker - we may not have a No10, but I'd like to see a No10 role, this is QPR after all.
Hoban might come next week...the gossip says Stan...but will not play for a couple of weeks because he has a sicknote (fills you with confidence, doesn't it!) I see you have dropped our leader and his side-kick (Ned and Joel)...cannot see that in Ollies plan You have also forgotten that Hall has a sicknote, similar to Hobans...so he won't play either. and you have also dropped our only goalscorer Smith. You are not "channelling" Ollie at all Stan! My real comments are.....I would like to see Freeman and Yeni play...I think both of them are really creative My team.... Smithies Furlong Hall, Ned, Robinson Pavel Borysiuk Scowen Yeni Freeman Smith
Aah... Justforstan. Oil rich middle-eastern caliphate, ruled by an evil overlord with a fetish for yellow rubber ducks and a thriving muffin bakery.... Or am I thinking of something else?
Sorry to bother , simple question . What position did Fer play the last half of your last Premier League season when in scored 6 goals in 18 games
Correct me if I am wrong....but sort of "no 10" But mainly he wandered around in the "fairly aimless role"...which we specialise in at QPR
Lol .... Good Luck this season . P S He couldn't have been to aimless with 6 goals from his last 18 starts with you in the Premier... cheers
Think there's more than enough there for mid-table security. All I'm asking dear God is; Hall to be made captain Onouha to be sold/released Play to score not to not concede. Simples
It's my pick from the limited resources Ollie has provided, not my guess at his pick. I'd forgotten about Freeman, but given comments from fans at his previous club I expect him to start disappearing with the monotonous regularity we have become accustomed to. As long as we don't play 4-4-2 and lump it .........we have a few wide players, use them to get behind defences.
Don't know enough about scowen, but would like to see manning alongside borysiuk or Luongo. In the limited highlights I've seen, freeman and pav looked our most creative options. The defence options we have are frankly scary, the DM will be critical as we got opened up to many times. Would prefer an outfield player getting POTY this year
