Tricky game. I'd be happy if we scrape a win. I'm not expecting a great game or a slick performance tbh.
Another must win. Spurs or City or both will drop points, we have to get the three points in the bag prior to their game, sorry to state the obvious. I fully expect us to stink the place out and do something called parking the bus as this is the only tactic Jose knows. We will not attack. All the players he picks will be old, he never, ever, plays young players so this is just fact which has been proven all season as no players under the age of 25 have played yet. Allegedly. Any English and young players will from here on in be frozen out and never play. Martial and Mkytarian, who are both foreign so therefore allowed to play, will be deployed at full back and Zlatan will be the lone striker with Fellaini behind him and no one in midfield. Interesting fact; the company I work for will start work on Stoke's new corner stand on Monday. I won't tell you the name in case a certain posted tries to tell them if I swear at him.
If we crack on we might be able to re-sign Veron, he's not English and he is 41 - perfect https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/2623...-41-as-veteran-targets-copa-libertadores-win/
Stoke have always been ****ing difficult for us and seem to reserve their best performance for us Not beaten them for 2 years. They get swatted by all the top teams except us. I fully expect a very difficult afternoon. If we concede early, I can see us conceding more even if Zlatan scores later during the match.
Not being funny but we should absolutely be up for this game, but I can't help thinking we'll probably only play with passion once we go a goal down. Our rivals are dropping points and Mourinho MUST start putting some fire in the bellies of our players. No disrespect intended but **** Stoke, just go out there and blow them away ffs! Also, I don't understand how Mourinho can get it so right with our front 3-4 players a little while ago and then continues to chop and change again. I still don't think he knows his starting XI tbh.
1-0 Stoke - a little lucky but fully deserved. They've just wanted it more. Same old bollox from us when we needed to win a game, we look indifferent and the team selection was a complete joke anyway. Far too many players out of position.
Stoke just look stronger, sharper and actually know how to move the ball at speed. What disappoints more than anything is that Mourinho can't seem to get our players up for games like this.
Missing our chances is nothing new though is it? I don't blame the players so much as the fact nobody in the coaching team seems to be addressing it. Anyway, we were always on a hiding to nothing as soon as the starting XI was decided. If we don't win this game the fault will lie squarely with Mourinho. While he deserves credit for our improvements, he also deserves criticism for the countless brainfarts like this today.
