Connolly was utter class. A player who would have stayed at the top much longer had it not been for injury. Can't have that he just worked hard.
Absolutely has to be. He was here for 5 of those last ten years too and did it in each and every one of those 5 years.
Indeed, Connolly was class. One of the sharpest of instinctive strikers Saints have ever had. If he had been young enough and injury free he could have played for Saints in the PL. Was not to be.
Funnily enough I bumped into Sam Gallagher last night in Orange. (The club) No one going for the Polish Poachers Raziak and Saganowski?
Not to split hairs, let's face it, going to Liverpool wasn't the best decision, was it. If he wanted to play football fairly regularly it wasn't going to be there. I think he can find himself reasonably unlucky that they used him so infrequently. So little so that his Premier League, and certainly his England career, is pretty much over. He'll play even less next season, or leave.
Just read this off Wiki about our Graziano: "Graziano Pellè (Italian pronunciation: [ɡratˈtsjano pelˈlɛ]; born 15 July 1985) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a striker for English club Southampton and the Italy national team. He is known as a strong striker who excels in the air, with powerful and accurate finishing ability and accurate penalty-kick taking. These attributes have led him to be compared to compatriot Luca Toni." So how come he doesn't take penalties for Saints..?
He was for the one at Burnley, surely? He played the whole match anyway. We had a discussion about this a couple of weeks ago, where I suggested that Pellè should take our pens, but apparently Tadić is the designated penalty taker. I'm still not convinced.
