    everton are that space team

a team way better than the rest of the league but still not as good as the top 6 teams

we should have beaten them in the home game

and for me, bowen is nowhere near good enough to play v everton

Everton are a very good home side and are one of the best sides out of the top six, I think he will start with one striker but you never know with Silva he might surprise us. If I was a betting man Hernandez will be the lone striker with Diomande coming on later.

I have a feeling he'll go with Diomande and Hernandez. I understand what you are saying Brady, but I don't think we have much to lose playing Bowen, most people don't expect us to get anything today, so it may just be the making of him - I don't think he would play Bowen, even from the bench.

I wondered about Diomande and Abel too. I don't think Dio's that good but he will put a shift in both tracking back and supporting Abel and we might need that sort of commitment today.

The obvious, most likely option is Abel on his own. The problem that gives us is that he'll probably struggle to hold it up and therefore won't get in the game, we'll be getting it up the pitch and it'll come straight back after Williams and friends pick it up untroubled. Of the options available, I'm not sure any of them would help prevent this happening. Our best hope is that our wingers or midfielders can produce something out of nothing.

The problem with not playing Bowen & other youngsters is they'll never be ready, 'lone striker & absorb' just won't cut it with Everton, better to have a go, get game time for players like Bowen, as he might be all we have next season, a bit of fearless youthful exuberance may just win the day ;)

I agree. Bruce could have given people like Bowen or Tymon more time last season. Don't think he even put them on the bench.

I agree regarding playing youngsters is the only way they will learn how ever many fans don't have much patience and if you get well beat soon turn on the manager for picking the wrong team. Ideally you want to be clear of relegation then put them in. Having said that I don't think young Tymon or Bowen have really let us down when playing but I do think nursing them forward like city have is the best way. I will say though at the moment our options up front are limited so Bowen has got to be in the squad. Both look good players and hopefully others will follow.
