If QPR target goes, we'll move onto polishing the next gem, says Wycombe Wanderers veteran 15:57, 20 May 2016 Updated 16:04, 20 May 2016 By Tim Street Blooms hopes Pierre stays but insists no player is bigger than the club Comments Get weekly news by email please log in to view this image Confident: Matt Bloomfield Matt Bloomfield is confident Wycombe Wanderers will replace any key players they lose this summer with more unpolished gems. Wycombe have been a stepping stone to bigger things many a time in Bloomfield's 13 years at the club, and the latest to be linked with a move away is Aaron Pierre, who had reportedly attracted the interest of QPR. And while Blooms, who recently signed a new one-year deal at Adams Park, would be sad to see the likes of Pierre go, he takes solace in Wycombe's track record for bringing through more young talent, even without a youth set-up. please log in to view this image Stepping up in the world: Matt Ingram, Nathan Tyson and Matty Phillips He said: “I'm sure the manager and chairman will make the right decision. I've seen it happen many a time since I've been here, from Nathan Tyson to Matty Phillips, right through to Matt Ingram this season. “I'm sure we will do everything we can to keep Aaron as he's been a vital cog in our successful defensive unit, but every player has his price, and if it's one we can't turn down, that's something we have to accept as a League Two club. “I'd be delighted for the clubs if Aaron stays, and I'll be delight for Aaron if he goes. What will be will be. The good thing is we always seem to have good young players coming though, the down side is you always get the speculation. please log in to view this image In demand: Aaron Pierre “It's disappointing at the time when they leave, but we always find good replacements. Having saleable assets has played a part in our survival, and we scout extensively to find gems we can nurture. Whoever moves on, the club will still be there.”

http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Championship/QPR I will start my usual summer dirge....None of them are defenders! Exclusive | QPR interested in Yeni Ngbakoto & Sehrou Guirassy Get French Football News can reveal that Championship side QPR are considering going after both Lille striker Sehrou Guirassy and Metz winger Yeni Ngbakoto during this summer transfer window. Guirassy struggled for playing time with Lille in the first half of the 2015/16 campaign before heading off to Auxerre on loan, where he entered a purple patch of form that has continued for France into the ongoing Toulon Tournament. As for Yeni Ngbakoto, the winger was highly rated by certain Ligue 1 clubs last summer, but nobody wanted to pay what was seen as excessive demands from Metz at the time. Lille boss Frédéric Antonetti wants Guirassy to play second fiddle to Eder next season, but time will tell whether or not the young Frenchman will accept such conditions. As for Ngbakoto, with Metz having won promotion to Ligue 1, the youngster might prefer to remain with Les Grenats for the 2016/17 campaign
Question. The general consensus on here is that we are broke and scrapping the bottom of the barrel re transfers. Why, then, did JFH take the job? Surely he would have asked about financial matters, budgets available to him etc? We had FFP looming when he took the job and we were already relegated and not doing that well. Does that mean he will have some budget to play with?

He just got married in Portugal apparently so that might mean he married a local girl in which case, a local club would suit them both. Here's hoping.
I think they would be good solid signings. It's been said that JFH is looking to build a solid core of British hard working signings. With Chery as our new number 10, perhaps he's looking for a team based on the Chilean model of football. Nine relentless outfield players built around the skillful one.
