The Republic of Ireland international has failed to make a mark underClaude Puel this season. The 29-year-old has been restricted of playing time this term with Puel favouring the services ofCharlie Austin for the centre-forward role. According to The Telegraph, the Black Cats are lining up a potential bid for the striker with David Moyes set to be offered a reasonable kitty to turn the club's fortunes in the New Year. Long has yet to open his goalscoring account for the campaign, and this has hampered his position in the starting line-up. Sunderland are currently rockbottom of the league standings with two draws and six defeats in their opening eight games. They make the visit to the London Stadium to face West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.
Definately a step up for us so lets hope Could becomes Will and our fortunes change 3 pts on Saturday
**** that we're needing a striker as it is... not to let another one go. Don't reckon there's anything to this one...
Wouldn't wory mate, we'll still be on 2 points when January rolls around and no ****er will come near us anyway
