I've just noticed that you don't have a Man of The Match thread unless I've missed it.
These are very popular on other boards and might be an idea for next season.

Defoe for his hat trick and for pulling Costa's ear who flew into a rage twa**ing players, ball boys and officials in the first minute.

    1. It's only a suggestion, hasn't started yet and won't until next season.
    2. You went to the same "School for Message Board Posters" as Commachio
    3. There is ALWAYS at least one poster who votes for the 'coach driver', 'referee', 'linesman' and/or a supporter.

Mainly though it's good fun to compare posters opinions.

Hope he starts with the same team as the last few games, I think Watmore is pretty good at making an impact from the bench but he's decision making really lets him down so I'm not as keen as some to see him in the starting 11. I'd like to see Lens on the bench at least, he might be lazy he might be off in the summer but he's got some real quality and we've been missing that touch of class in the final third lately, we have players who add effort and pace but we've missed that bit of silky skill I just think (hope) that Lens could provide it.

As for the game itself if we get a point it will be a good result, if Chelsea can be bothered they have the players to sweep us aside but you just don't know how much they are going to try. Either way we'll need to be better than last week if we are going to anything from this game.

Agree with pretty much everything, except I'd start with Larsson in palce of M'Vila - the lad needs a rest and I think alot on here underrate Seb. He was our player of the season last year and for good cause. Decent footballer. Just look at his pass for Watmore for our third against Norwich... that's what we've been missing from our midfield three imo. I'm not saying Seb is a world-beater but creatively I think he's better than anything else we have in that position.

I have a feeling Chelsea won't be arsed, they gave their all in a real blood-and-thunder game against their local rivals on Monday and achieved what they wanted. This is a nothing game for them and I think most their squad will have one eye on the Euros. Hopefully we can take advantage, as even a half-focused Chelsea is more than capable of punishing us.

There was a game today. We won 3-2. We need 2 points from two games now and we're home and dry.

Well done on a great victory. Hope you get the victory on Wednesday to stay up. You'll miss the big derby, but the match against Boro will be nearly as good.

Do you think Hodgson should pick Defoe for Euro 2016? IMO he should, as one of those ahead of him, Sturridge, should really spend the summer getting over his niggling injuries, instead of jetting off with England.
