Thanks CJS. I'm going to Forest Green but after the first two games I'm not sure what to expect.

Are you running the Mark Lawrenson prediction game this season btw?

I bought 4 tickets for the FGR game from Kingswood - they debited my card but sent me 4xyouth tickets <grr>.

Getting them changed now as none of us are under 40, let alone 16-21 and I have no intention to take children like Lan and Shineyzzz along!

I was wondering if any on here would like to go to away games but have not joined the SC I may be able to get some unofficial transport sorted. Depending on numbers could work out cheaper than official coach but any profit would go to supporting the youth. If there is enough interest then I could look at doing something after Christmas with a package including a lunch at a pub/restaurant but booked in and 10+ miles away from venue so it would remain legal regarding the law and alcohol on football association supporters coaches. All liaison with the local police unit will of course apply and a list of supporters travelling will have to be submitted. PM me if you are interested or if there is a group that might be. I WILL NOT POCKET ANY PROFIT and as said before all profit if we get it going will be donated to the youth sponsorship.

    thats a cracking idea <ok>

when i use to go to away games i went with a bunch of mates. most of the time it was 4 of us driving to games. we took it in turns doing the driving to make it fair. we didnt contribute to fuel as we each did a similar length distance over the season to make it fair. we use to get to the area near the ground early like around midday so we could find somewhere to eat lunch. we made a day of it.

however i dont travel to away games anymore and havent done so for a while. thats not because of money or the poor performances but its due to my wife. she is disabled and her mobility had declined a lot over the last few years. we have 2 small children and i couldnt justify doing a full time job mon-fri and then disappearing for the whole day travelling to and from the rovers away games. its not fair on my wife who i know would struggle and its not fair on my kids too. we decided home games not an issue as its not a whole day event and i miss the away games but obviously listen to the game and will be involved with the match day threads on here.

if it wasnt for not doing away games, i would have been very interested <ok>

Tweet from Eastleigh regarding our game..... https://twitter.com/eastleighfc/status/507103239641505792

"Less than 700 tickets left for our game v @Official_BRFC on Tuesday 30th September. If you would like to purchase tickets call 02380613461"

I presume that 700 left for the home end. Looks like another record home attendance for the team vs Rovers!
