    Barclays Premier League
    Date - Saturday 14 January 2017
    Kick off - 15:00
    Venue - Liberty Stadium

Following their disappointing exit from the FA Cup at the Third Round stage, the Swans turn their attention back to the (arguably) far more important issue of attempting to secure Premier League status for another season.

Arsenal are the visitors for new Manager Paul Clement's first home match in charge of the Swans, although he moved into the dug out during the away match at Crystal Palace where the Swans gained a much needed three points against their relegation rivals.

Arsenal, coincidentally were the first opposition when previous Bob Bradley took over at Swansea: Bradkey's team lost 3-2 that day, Clement will be hoping to better that result.

Swansea and Arsenal have met each other on 24 occasions, with the Swans winning 8, Arsenal 13 and 3 matches were drawn.

In the corresponding fixture last season, Arsenal won 0-3. Olivier Giroud headed Arsenal in front early in the second half, before Laurent Koscielny seized on an error by former Gunners goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski to double their lead.

Joel Campbell struck on his first Premier League start to seal victory.

My heart says that the Swans will pick up a point in a 1-1 draw, but my head says that Arsenal will repeat last season's 0-3 victory.

If we're lucky we may get a draw out of this but I don't see it. Clement needs more time I think, so another 0-3 on the cards, possibly worse. :(

The team has to get stuck in and show some metal to their new gaffer and us beleaguered fans. You'd think they have more metal in them than they've shown so far, they must have

Forever the optimist 2-1 Swans, it could happen folks <ok>

I wont be there Saturday, and it is strange that I am not disappointed and that is really sad to me. I will be watching my son playing for Garden Village against Cardiff Met which I think I will enjoy more.

PC's first home game, I have to watch if only to see what kind of a team we're left with. One way or t'other it will be a defining game for us and pretty emotional too I imagine. There's no excuses left now, no board room shenanigans, no bewildered managers nor clueless tactics or fearful payers to blame any more. There's nothing left to hide behind now, this is it, skin and bone vs skin and bone.
