This FBI conference is interesting to say the least, say 2010 in SA n 2011 presidential election among the processes affected, at work so can't type up all of it - anyone out there with a lot of time on their hands??

Also defendants have surrendered $150m in illegal profits <yikes>

I have just one little observation at the moment. I have only watched ten minutes of the lunch time Sky Sports headlines and a couple of online bits and pieces. There seems to be a lack of comment from one person.

Has any one seen or heard of the scarlet pimpernel, aka Sepp Blatter? Has he said anything? Anyone know where he is?

You'd really think that even the most slippery of snakes would come out when the Den is under attack, especially when said snake is head of the Den.

He's in his underground lair pointing an atomic powered lazer beam directly at New York.

He's Swiss, so he'll have no trouble burying cash. Just stash it next to the nazi gold Sepp.

Edit: of course, most wealthy Swiss are above reproach.

This thread is beautiful, I hope it runs all summer & has a just conclusion. But doubt it will, these are some of the slipperiest people in the world under the spot light.

How in gods name is the vote still going ahead on Friday? Absolutely insane.

The amount of poor countries that have been made even poorer and effectively wrecked by Fifa is shocking. The fact that people in Qatar are dying to build stadiums based on bribes is awful.

I hope all are brought to justice, and that this is just the start

Lock them up, and throw away the key is a motto that I don't usual subscribe to. In this case, I do. FIFA is frankly a joke, and I hope this can be the catalyst for serious change.

You seem to be rather harsh and I'd even say somewhat biased against the USA with all this talk about grand juries and strict laws.

Do you actually have any doubt that Blatter and FIFA are completely corrupt? It's not like there is no evidence or people have to come up with trumped up charges or anything.

We're fixing up your sport for you by doing the things you should have done a long time ago but were too lazy/weak/corrupt/incompetent to get done. You're welcome.

There's a fair amount of truth in what she said, as it pertains to these sorts of crimes. US law gives the DOJ far broader authority to prosecute these sorts of multinational financial crimes than their counterparts in many other countries. But that's not a bad thing...grand juries' willingness to indict anything down to a ham sandwich sometimes has flaws though, but hard to argue with this.

How long before this Sevilla keeper gets a knock on the door? Or am I getting cynical? Bruce Grobelaar couldn't have done a better job of not saving that header...

So, he's not been questioned but declares his innocence. Does even knew yet all the details of the charges?

UEFA have called for Friday’s FIFA presidential election to be postponed amid FBI allegations of bribery and corruption. European football's governing body has said that it will also consider boycotting this week's FIFA congress following the arrests of soccer officials in Zurich.

Don't suppose it will make any difference but you never know.
