????????? We've been in the Premier league for 23 of the past 25 seasons, they've been in it for 5 of them. Plus they only just manage to scrape staying up last season, our manager is massively higher profile and our group capacity is 3 times as much as theirs. To any young player being offered first team football, we are more attractive than Swansea. This deal is all about Clement's links with Chelsea.
Rafa has links with Chelsea and is very good friends with Conte. I think people underestimate just how far relegation knocks a side back outside of their own little bubble. To the outside world we're just another promoted club.
However we're still not as **** as yourselves. We all accept next season is going to likely be a struggle. It is for most promoted sides. But struggling in the PL bottom 6 and struggling in the Championship, there isn't any comparison. Its a whole different world of ****ness And if we wanted Derek McInnes he would come here in a shot. He took one look around your gaff and thought "****ing hell this place is ****ed" Oh don't tell me, it was the uncertainty over the takeover, yeah sure it was...
http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport...ier-league-is-only-place-it-belongs-1-8608390 One of the prospective owners have backed out Baz. Comedy genius this - "Sunderland are the biggest club in the North East" Delusion is alive and well on Wearside.
Could have sworn you said it would be this week you'd have all sorted? Never mind "We have been so touched and inspired by the reaction from our fellow supporters, who rightly deserve their reputation as the best fans in the world. I'm sure these people have escaped the looney bin, unless they are referring to the best fans in the world who leave after 60mins?
Not warming, it's just that when I see someone using the "do you know who I am" type lines, I think they're forgetting their current status. History counts for nothing. Its like Liverpool and their deluded fans.
It's pretty warm here - not enjoying the nice weather in Wales then? Oh, and - "do you know who I am"? Not really, just a statement of fact regarding seasons in the PL
I have to agree. Swansea are bottom end of the PL as a side, we are a promoted side, the rest is just previous form. Football is way too brutal for players to be reminiscing about when Newcastle played in Europe every year. We're a promoted side end of story, and Abraham like many other probably will do, will see them as a better option than us. No big deal.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40356655 I think this lad would have been a good option at 8m for the 10 role and competition to Shelvey?
Recent years I've banged on about bringing in Hughes and Redmond. Be a shame to miss out on him at that price but not sure he has progressed as well as he could have at Derby due to injuries and being coached by McClown (twice). Still for £10m worth a punt as competition/backup to Shelves.
They never had the cash anyway. All about publicity I think. That statement is shocking. ****ing bellends.
Exactly the phrase I picked up on. [Churchillian voice] I never knew so much bs could be spouted by so few about so many.
Don't agree. Abrahams will, through Chelsea's insistence and Swansea's obsequiousness, see Swansea as a better option simply because they have promised to play him and give him a guaranteed number of starts whereas Rafa wouldn't. The better option for Abrahams is more likely based solely on the number of games he is going to play and nothing more.
Anyone else done with this Tammy. I for one can't wait to see him **** up his career with no starts and no goals at Swansea. To end up in Chelsea's reserves and end up being John Terry's bitch...... Just saying!
