The Chairboys welcome the manager-less Exiles to Adams Park for the 31 league game of the season, looking to bounce back from Tuesday defeat, love is in the air as its Saturday and not a midweek game I know records are there to be broken but 3 years without a home win on a Tuesday night is taking the Michal maybe we should start playing our home midweek fixtures on a Wednesday evening. Gareth Ainsworth is renowned for keeping his cards close to his chest so there is no news on any injuries or loan signings to date apart from Courtney Senior returning to Brentford after making his football league debut as a second half sub on Tuesday night. I will be at AP for this one doing my very best to cheer on the Blues to victory
senior was a strange one - sat on the bench for a month and only played for 20 minutes against Plymouth, where according to the commentators he looked quite lively. Having said that central midfield is probably our most competitive position with blooms bean murphy kretch and danny rowe, plus possibly a loanee to replace senior
he was only a 1 month loan so it was the end of his loan period and ainsworth decided not to extend it presumably
luck went against us today by the sounds of it, remarkable how much better we were in the second half... in two minds whether to do Carlisle next week, honestly no idea what to expect! but we need to start winning again and soon
Shocking first half but with McClure and Craig up front about what I expected McClure was useless and Craig was next to useless McClure should have bagged a hat-trick Craig did put his effort in the net only for the ref to disallow it he never gave us a kick all game well nearly and we miss Scowen desperately at least Hayes came on for 20 mins he should start next week with Holloway
I suspect at least one of Holloway and hayes will return for Carlisle. Was good to see a return to 4-4-2 though, a step in the right direction
What i noticed in the first half of the season is that we really imposed ourselves on sides from fairly early on. The last three games i have watched have seen us start really sluggishly and then come out like a steam train second half. Saturday was another example of this chalk and cheese performance. Yes, we are struggling to score goals from both midfield and our attackers. The return of Hayes will hopefully mean a return to normal service.
