I'm off to New York again in November. Can't wait. Also, does Glastonbury count? Absolutely buzzing for that. Really hope to get back to Thailand and/or Vietnam in the near future. Tokyo too.
Never really felt I coould go anywhere abroad over the Christmas period. Furthest I've ever been at that time of year is Felixstowe. I normally go to New York alone, can't stand the idea of spending that time of year alone, it's the only time I really truly enjoy being around family.
Slightly random destination Barely features in the Winter Holiday brochures First time we've been away then but we took the whole family for my wife's 50th so it was fantastic I like December in Nov / early Dec too mind you, in fact early Dec was probably best time for me
Family live there. Always used to go for a couple of weeks in the summer, bloody loved it. The Christmas I spent there, think it was in 2000, maybe 1999, so it was a while ago.
I prefer to be in a tent or a caravan BlueMountainBear We use to do withernsea when I was a lad or Brid. This year will be the first time I have been on a plane though I did get shoved into helicopter ride last year. Off to see the Lady who I got my dog from in Romania
If anyone has a bad back, I would, recommend a week in Terme Cadez in Slovenia. They sorted me out in a week. Brilliant place, cheap treatments and hardly any British.
The previous year we had been to Brid and stayed in a boarding house which I quite enjoyed. After Withernsea my mum pulled the plug on family holidays. My young sister and me in a caravan in pouring rain in Withernsea drove her nuts. Dad went to the nearest pub! Most interesting time there for me was finding a place to dump the contents of the toilet bucket!
Completely beautiful. His nanna (god rest her) had one which is his now, and he renovated it. Love that region.
Only spent a couple of days in Cambodia to see Angkor Wat at daybreak. Amazing. Then on the back of a motorbike for the rest of the day visiting temples. Stood where Angelina Jolie did. However was walking along side an overgrown man made rectangular lake and a young boy chased after us to say don't stray from the path as the field to the left was mined. ****. Laos is great, Luang Prabang, Vian Vien, and the capital Ventiane with Buddha Park close by on the banks of the Mekong. But this year Turkey, the Bodrum Peninsula.
The Croatian footballer in my extended family currently plays in the Maldives. From Sparta Prague to the champions of Luxembourg to a failed trial at Ross County to the Maldives. Not sure his career can go much lower but I reckon there are worse places in the world to ply your trade.
Brisbane...let me know if you want stuff on Vancouver...great City but you need to visit Vancouver Island if you have time... some great stuff to see if you have a few days to spare. Ferry or short-hop plane. If you get to Toronto, pm me and we can arrange to watch City on the telly in a bar somewhere...the season will have started by then...hopefully we'll still be in the big league !
Is he still there ? Haven't seen him on here recently ? I was interested in properties there a few months ago.
Cheers - just I haven't seen him on the Preditions League thread for a month or so. You can never be sure at our age can you, so that's good news.
