oh the irony, used to get sent there for murder, now can't get in due to speeding. And my friends who overstayed their work visa had to be arrested to get deported home. Got a 10 year ban for a return to boot.
This is no time to be bringing me into it. His intellectual credibility hangs on an australian immigration officer taking pity on him, his stupidity and lack of preparation. I have on occasion ****ed up but I have never done it so badly as to ruin the trip of a lifetime.. I always said he couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery and this debacle coupled with the record turn out for the meet up prove it.
WJ - have a brilliant trip and can you please send us a pic when you are in Oz? Me and the rest of the lads will laugh our nuts off in the Salters in the real meet up

LOL. Thanks for your help, but it was indeed Chesh that gave me the lead. I wasn't able to do it online (as I had the other 2) - I had to get Qantas to do it after speaking to them face to face at Heathrow. Even their customer Services wouldn't do it over the phone. Not only did they do it, but they phoned Canberra directly to hav ethe govt. confirm it was good & my other 2 applications wouldn't cast doubt on it. Btw, Chesh, it was a Kiwi that sorted it!
