I think it would be one of the few PR mistakes that Radz would make. Not confident we have another forward at the club that will make up his goals.

Would you do a deal with Swansea. Wood for Bartley + 12-13 million and use the money to buy another forward?

 

Bartley + £12 to £13m might be a fair deal if Tommy can actually find a 20 goal a year+ player. But I can't see that happening, as Bartley is replaceable. Wood would be much harder to do

 

I see a couple of you think Phillips should go out on loan. Perhaps, but I actually think he'll be in our starting 11, or at worst, on the bench if Ronaldo pinches his berth. It's his to lose at the moment IMO.

 

Phillips won't benefit from a loan spell, as he's already part of the 16 either starting or on the bench. So little point in loaning him out

I said elsewhere, if we were getting 15-20 million for Wood we should take it. He may never have another season like last, and we have more goal scoring options now than last year. Decent striker in the Championship = £7m (eg.Fletcher to Boro) - buy one, pocket the rest for strengthening where/when we actually we need it in Jan / next summer.

Next 2/3 years quality youth coming through thanks to Radz's foresight, the future's white.
