Can't take that name seriously, it devalues the competition. Still, who do we want, just someone crap at home? The Carabao Cup Round Two draw will take place live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports News on Thursday night, following the conclusion of the televised Round One tie between Sunderland and Bury. The Tigers, along with fellow Championship side Middlesbrough and the 13 Premier League clubs not competing in Europe this season, will enter the competition at this stage. Leonid Slutsky’s side will be one of the 25 seeded teams and will be drawn against one of the 25 unseeded teams, which will consist of the lowest ranked teams remaining in the competition, in terms of last season’s league positions. Round One of the competition saw the draw split into a 'Northern' and 'Southern' section to minimalise travel times from players and fans, but no such restrictions exist from now on. In the event that West Ham United are drawn at home in Round Two, they will be given special dispensation by the EFL Board to play the fixture at the opposition’s venue due to a previously agreed arrangement that London Stadium was to stage the 2017 IAAF World Championships in August.
Just as soon we get knocked out. It's just more games for our lads to get injured exposing poor squad depth even further, unless we sign up another half dozen this month of course...
What is it? Is it the Milk Cup?! Anyway Rochdale away (easy to get to on train and its been a long time since I've been) or maybe another visit to Accrington Stanley instead
The Football League Cup in another ridiculous sponsors name. Brain child and introduced by Hull born Alan Hardaker when he was the secretary of the FL, not a lot of people know that. Blue plaque called for if ever there was one. Now if this was rugby league.......
We'll be playing one of these - QPR, Birmingham, Burton Albion, Nottingham Forest, Blackburn Rovers, Wigan Athletic, Rotherham United, Accrington Stanley, Doncaster Rovers, Bristol Rovers, Charlton Athletic, Carlisle United, Rochdale, Millwall, Cheltenham Town, Barnet, Scunthorpe United, Newport County, Milton Keynes Dons, Bolton Wanderers, Sheffield United.
We tend to have clusters of matches playing the same opponents don't we, so on that basis it's bound to be Burton Albion. (thought OLM's list had Villa on there - would be them otherwise)
I'm hoping for Hull City Tigers against Milton Keynes Dons in the Round of 50 of the Carabao Cup. That's what I love about soccer; the traditions, institutions and fixtures that stretch back years to before time immemorial.
That'd be good business. Round 2 winners get £7k. Winning the Cup only gets you £100k, £50k for the Runners Up. Ehab's a ****, he'd sell Rd2 for £10m & then try to get a bye into round 3 on a free or loan.
Barnet is now a very nice set up, and miles in front of what they had at Underhill. There's also a nice picture of one Phil Brown in their coffee shop. The views expressed in my posts ar
It's not that it's a bad ground, but it'll be midweek and a long trip there and back for fans. Suppose the direct train route wouldn't be too bad.
