I would like to think he would stay for another season if we stayed up. However he doesn't seem to hang around at previous clubs for long. However the fact that we have a couple of players on loan that seem to have agreements to buy if we stay up, might indicate there is some agreement that he will stay if we do stay up.
Ask the man. He speaks to fans every day who turn up at training ground. Why wouldn't he be open about his future when he answers media questions daily.
Eh Like he is going to say anything other than he has a contract and we will see. Some of you need to keep your knickers on. He may be useless after a few games. He may be brilliant. He may go. He may stay. I don't get the flapping. Relax.
I'm sure I heard him say something along the lines of "whilst I'm here" in his pre ars-nal interview..
Wasn't that in the context of our loan players? "For our loan players, permanent players and me it is the same, while we are here the focus is only on Hull City" Or something like that?
It still definitely gives an impression that he has no ambition to be here indefinitely. I'm fine with that if he leaves us in the condition Poch left Soton!
Morning Syd. (Is is morning there? If it's not, good afternoon.) I think Marco will stay if we stay up as long as his position doesn't become untenable. I think he'll want to build on what he has created so far as he's already brought players in, and he'll want to recreate what he did at Estoril. It'll look far better on his CV if he keeps a team up and pushes them further, a la Phil Brown. I hope he stays and he achieves something really special, in which case, he'll have to decide whether or not to compete in Europe again, and maybe stay on for another season. Either way, I think he'll go onto bigger and better things. I just hope he drags us with him.
That's my view too. Just hope we aren't scrambling come season end to get him signed up. Best case is we're mathematically safe a few weeks out from end of the season and can focus on contract talks then.
I was thinking about this, has the collective Silva love-in let Paul Clement go under the radar? He's done a terrific job with Swansea, he really has, but he seems to be getting less praise for it.
No one has done a job until the season finishes and we all know who did a job and who didn't. Then the job job gets sorted and it depends on whether we did do a job or didn't do a job. That's it really
**** it! Im not looking past the end of the season. He has also won the league with his last couple of clubs, so I can see him staying on till he has achieve that with our club. then I can see EA/new owners, employing another great manager. "ESCAB"??????????? ****ing grow up
thats cos Swans only needed a tweaking. where as we needed a full overhall from the dross that was served up under SB and MP.
Clement has doubled their points in 6 games From 12 pts to 24 - 4 pts ahead of 18 They were atrocious and just as **** as us
He won the league with Olympiacos last season, he finished third at Sporting Lisbon and fourth with Estoril.
