I'll be happy if we get 250-300 first innings.

200 would be a decent score and that's not an exaggeration. 250-300 would be superb.

 

Vince and Smith bowled by balls that pitched on leg stump and hit off stump. We should open the bowling with Crane.

Somerset are cursing the fact Ervine and McLaren are left handed.

 

That's the 250 up.

 

Finished 281-6. Won't know if that's a good score until they've both batted but good for Hants considering the start.

 

Trust me, it's a great score already. The ball was turning square from the off.

 

In three (or two!) days time, it could well become clear that today was one of Ervine's best 100s for us.

 

OK I trust you . Hopefully our bowlers will do the business when they get the chance.

 

Should get 3 batting points from here and should surely get at least 2 bowling points on this pitch and with the weather set fair it should be a result match, so at least 21 points up for grabs for Hants. Lets hope that our spinners exploit the pitch better than theirs have so far.

 

Which is exactly the gap between us and Somerset going into this game. Now ok they have two bowling points, and will probably pick up another bonus point or two, but ultimately we would close the gap to them right up - albeit having played a game more than them.

Lancs only picked up two batting points, and Durham only one, so whilst it is only baby steps, so long as we do get to at least 300 then that is also gains made. Notts again losing their second wicket from the last ball of the day. Pretty much evens up their game vs Yorkshire.
