    You say Spurs have made massive strides, yet they are still massively behind Arsenal as Spurs last major trophy was 1991.

    They are all so happy if Wenger stays for longer, what I don't get is how they can be happy to be in Wenger's shadow for any longer then required....

    Because you're stagnating under Wenger and the board, who all seem happy with the status quo, so you'll almost certainly continue to stagnate.

    Put simply, if I were a Gooner who wanted to see my team win the title some time in the foreseeable future, I'd want Wenger out.

    Exactly.

    I have often expressed the view, on this very board, that the likes of Pixie and Flanders, and all the other Gooners on this site, care more about finishing above Spurs than they do the fact that Wenger is no longer capable of winning the title or the CL for Arsenal. They are terrified that, should Wenger leave, there will be a period in which Spurs will consistently finish above Arsenal.

    I think, if that day comes, that will be the end of the Gooners' board on this site. It's almost dead, as it is.
