    I wouldn't say I was that knowledgable. I just listen a lot.

And back on topic a nice little story about a much maligned Staplewood hedge spy.

After the game as a parting gift Mr Wenger gave the Cowley brothers the full dossier that he had compiled on Lincoln for Arsenal's preparation.

    Very nice thought.

One, because it just gives a young manager a little bit more of a step to seeing what the big boys do and any differences and Second, and more importantly it showed that Wenger was the first opposition manager since the second round that had given Lincoln City the respect they warranted. Oldham, Ipswich and Brighton didn't and all Dyche did was turn up to one game and then decide to play a slightly weakened team anyway.

A bit of respect from someone at the very top.

What a nice act. Invaluable to a young coach.

Unless the dossier was one paragraph that said, "They're non-league, if you don't beat them You need shooting"

    :) just saying.

I think that was the dossier that Oldham, Ipswich, Brighton and Burnley had :)

I guess Wenger himself didn't do much of the research for the dossier but may have assigned some of his staff to the hedgerows around Lincoln's training ground rather than Southamptons for a week and had scouts at several games. Their scouts weren't let into the North Ferriby away game because they were sold out before the Scouts applied. However they probably just climbed trees around the ground instead. lol

I would suggest that today's FA Cup result was a "get back into your second position behind us Tottenham" type result. This being the Tottenham of the illustrious history equal to the very best in the country.

I can see your point, but I've always thought he had the look of Bluebottle about him:

Oh yeah, I see that too. Perhaps I was getting mixed signals from memory.

Sat here trying to think of which team I'd rather go into the FA Cup Final. I don't really give a toss about which of the two, it's just the amount of heaped on added hype one has to put up with next season. Perhaps Man City. Despite their status they still don't seem to have the media at their feet, whereas Arsenal just need to have one good game and they are suddenly back. Besides, what the hell am I thinking.? Why on Earth would I want Arsenal to do well.? This even overcomes any North/South bias. I'll take Manchester City as the team I can just about put up with for the Final. Bye bye Gunners.

Arsenal to win today, win the cup, keep Wenger for another season.

And then go through the whole drama of this season's disappointment again

City score a legitimate goal at Wembley that was disallowed wrongly by the linesman. Where have we heard that before. I know it's a hard job but come on. That's twice this season at Wembley.

Tough call, but the Wrong call as it turns out, both teams have had stonewall penalties turned down in my view as well.

Just seen the replay of Man City's penalty shout - no penalty for me.

I think Aguero sticks his leg out into AOC rather than the other way round.

But Man City goal and Arsenal penalty should both have happened

City pretty much doing to Arsenal at Wembley what they did to us last week at St Mary's; pinning them back, and not letting them get the ball anywhere near their own forwards.

Oxtail-Chamberpot finally does for Arsenal what he used to do for us, and runs through the City midfield. Final ball was shocking though, has he gone backwards?

A real bunch of ****s work for BT. Ref bashing as half time analysis over incredibly tough and narrow calls.
There have been plenty dafter decisions made this season, yet they pretend to get worked up about these.
Rio still hasn't lost that referee disrespect he exhibited as a player

All true. But what was that lino doing ruling out a perfectly good goal? Decisions like that deserve to be scrutinised. All the others were subject to opinion, but not that one.
