    As usual, Nigel is refreshingly honest. Talks a lot about doing things the right way. And always says football player because he's obviously never heard of the term footballer. :)

    I hope he does extremely well. In fact, I know he'll do extremely well. He'll get them out of League One within one season, and if, by any stretch, it does take two, I hope Sheff Utd are smart enough to realise they have the real thing in Nigel, and don't let him go.

    So it was Saints with contracts and transfers keeping me busy yesterday, and today it was Southend.

    PFA have asked for a transfer embargo on Leeds for failing to pay a player 800K compensation for a transfer deal they pulled out of last season.

    That's really sad for Rovers, they have a history of their grounds being turned into supermarkets. The original ground at Eastville, down the other end of Muller Road, was flattened and became a massive Tescos and an IKEA. Then they had to ground-share with Bath City at Twerton Park, until they started ground-sharing with Bristol Ruby Club at the Memorial Ground. And the last thing that part of Bristol needs is another bloody supermarket.
