Good news not my pancreas as first thought, bad news is I have cracked ribs although how on earth a small stumble caused that to happen is beyond me ??!!
Happy it's not such a serious outcome but having suffered a couple of cracked ribs myself in the past, I feel your pain!
Comparatively good news, buddy - ribs will heal eventually, internal organs not so much Try not to laugh or cough too much during your recovery period - and have some tapioca for me before you leave there please log in to view this image
Two days to diagnose cracked ribs? Had the same problem 15 years ago, Diagnosed in minutes. Speedy healing mate.
And Dave, all my toys are now out of the pram in anger at you thinking I would throw all of them out when arguing with you.
Yep, had x-ray late Tuesday, then they wanted to do CT scan yesterday, got back to ward mid afternoon then didn't see a doctor until this morning. Mind you they did give me a full MOT once I was honest about my lifestyle
Have to say the Nursing staff were bloody marvellous. One young girl (well young to me anyhow, she was in her early 30s), seemed to get all the ****ty jobs (literally), but always had a smile on her face. Would always take the time to ask how you were as she went about her business and was a credit to not only her profession but also to herself. When I was leaving the hospital I noticed the shop so went in and bought her and her colleagues two big boxes of chocolates to say thankyou.
Unsung heroes / heroines, KIO - I'll back you up there - I've met my share of them in the last 8 to 10 years - since shortly after I moved to Cromer, actually?
I just did that flea drops thing on Tiggy's neck. He's a wild one, and moved while I was doing in. So, pretty sure some would have gone on his skin, I don't know how much. I emptied the little sachet on him. Does it all have to make contact with the skin? Does it matter if only like half went to skin, and the rest on the furr? I'm not really sure how the liquid works in protecting from fleas. Cheers.
I think they generally work by being absorbed into the skin and then a flea will die when it bites the cat. Are you keeping him indoors? A small amount should be fine then. Outdoors they'll find a cosy spot that other cats have and get them there. Bah!
