Cannot imagine why Neville went there....the team was rubbish before he got there. Hardly done his reputation any good....surely could have got a better side if he wanted to dabble in management.
Big club, poor side, unhappy fans and a lot of pressure. Factor in the fact he went there mid-season and didn't speak a word of Spanish and it's a recipe for failure.
Valencia finished 4th last season so cannot be all that rubbishy. What has undoubtedly affected them is integrating their summer signings which must have disrupted the atmosphere in the dressing room and performance on the pitch. Mind you Barca are quite capable of that performance against anyone these days, and when a team is faced with the three most talented players currently playing the game, who fuse together brilliantly, there is only so much it can do without resorting to fouling and receiving yellow and red cards.
Sevilla back on song again, thrashing Celta Vigo 4-0!! Don't rule out another Europa League win for them in May. La Liga teams are the ones to beat in this competiton.
If the Chinese league are going to buy all the top European players over the next few years what do you think will happen to the European leagues? Will the EPL lose out or maybe benefit because we'll have a higher percentage of English players again?
Napoli fans decide to show their support for Koulibaly after he was racially abused in the last game....
Less than 4 weeks till the League of Ireland starts again...Can't bloody wait..1st time in 8 years my team Finn Harps have been in the pPremier. Local derby against Derry City to start as well
Mmmm "The Derby Way"..... This is a very strange decision and some contradictory quotes. I feel There must be something else still to come out here. Damn these managers who try and win matches.
Yep defiantly more to that one.......also his departure is the 40th managerial departure this this season according to SSN.
Very strange decision by Derby, especially as they're stating that promotion isn't their aim. Not sure I'd be happy reading that as a Derby fan...
Sean Dyche with some very sound comments on the life of a manager, and in particular, Gary Neville's present experience at Valencia: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03hz6fb
Some of Europes top clubs want automatic entry into CL regardless of league position http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35535729 Will really start to lose interest I fear if this happens.
