Interesting pieces in the ever reliant, heavily researched and well written Mirror, Daily Star and Goal.com, that Leicester would like a swap deal of Morgan for Drinkwater should Utd come sniffing. Simple question, would you rather have Morgan or Danny in your team?

I'm struggling to see why Utd would want Drinkwater, especially at the prices quoted. My feeling is that it's simply trash paper talk, easily made up due to Drinkwater's history at Utd.

Obviously being biased toward Morgan, I think he is the better player. But I also think that Herrera is better too. That said, in our current position of always having at least one of Redmond and Long in the team, Drinkwater's basically sole tactic of being able to put a great ball over the top for Vardy to run onto could be quite effective for us.

Shown my first red card of the season and in bizarre circumstances. A player was fouled which he took objection to, like a lot of players do. He then shoved the player and shouted at him, prompting me to book him. Or I would have done if he had given me his name. He refused when asked 3 times and literally asked me to send him off. Fine, I went for my pocket to get the yellow card out to caution him twice and then he told me to **** off. So I forgot the 2 cautions and gave him a straight red. So he went from a yellow card to a straight red in less than 30 seconds.

I did smirk a little once he'd turned his back on me.

Curious Tom - after the shoved the other player why would it have been yellow and not red at that point?

He pushed him in the chest and it wasn't very hard. If he pushed him with enough force to make him fall over then it's a red card.

    Interesting

Does it work the same as in higher level games - the straight red means he'll now be banned for a game/games?

RIP Mel Charles - John Charles' younger brother. Charles played nearly 400 games in a career that saw him play for Arsenal, Cardiff City, Port Vale as well as Swansea. His transfer from Swansea in 1959 saw the Gunners pay a then-record £46,750 fee for Charles, who could play centre half or centre forward.

Yes, I read this earlier. Before my time, but by all accounts, a great player, who unjustifiably lived a little in his older brother's shadow.

He apologised and said he was going to get rid of him. I must admit that pleased me a lot. And yes it all went in my report.

That's good. Some coaches start having a pop at the referee.

John and Mel were like peas in a pod weren't they?

And if I'm not mistaken, that's our very own Stuart Williams standing next to Mel Charles.
