Back from the coast, had a few problems this time, not great given my mother was over and all. However, overall things went well. Back to work Monday, need 3 points to settle the stomach.
It has been a long hard day, and I am feeling weary. I think I will have an early night and start again tomorrow. Don't really want to watch Match of the Day. I have a problem with ants that like attacking my lettuce plants. Ants like dry conditions, so keep things damp seems to be the answer, but too damp and the plants get wet rot. I did have a bio ant killer last year that helped, but that has finished. so will have to see if I can but some more.
It was forecast yesterday for snow in Scotland and maybe Northern England too. Bright sunshine down here atm!
Morning all, rather cloudy today, but the sun keeps breaking through. Rain showers forecast for this afternoon, so I am pleased that I cut all my grass yesterday. It takes about an hour and a half to do in a field that is 100 m long, so at each end I have a garden seat where I can take a break. If you sit still you are sometimes joined by a robin that will sit alongside you until it spots a grub that takes it's fancy. On a warm sunny afternoon you can watch the buzzards circling above on the air currents, and it always amazes me how infrequently they have to move their wings. Sometimes just sitting and watching gets in the way of doing what you set out to do.
