Crystal Palace 0 v 1 Spurs Well done, lads! Keeps the pressure on the Chavs! Fantastic result against a side that has beaten Chavs, Gunners, and 'Pool, so our win on their turf was a superb effort! Take a bow Eriksen for a superb 2nd half strike! You little magician! Kiss the badge, son! You deserve it!
Spurs 2 v 0 Arsenal (Alli, Kane) It was fitting that the last NLD to be played at the Lane was ushered in on St Arsehole's Day. Poch played down the achievement by telling the media that "it's business " as usual" in our quest for the title. Kiss the badge, son!
Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen has been linked with a move to Barcelona, but the 25-year-old Denmark international's agent says he is focused on playing a key role for the White Hart Lane club. (London Evening Standard) You little magician! Kiss the badge, son! You've earned it.
Was it me or did a bus just drive by with some old **** waving his cock out of the window? that was surreal(shakes head) Anyway...nice change from an Agent to actually be thinking about the football and not the money.
The thing that makes this Spurs side different from your previous decent side, which contained players like Modric, VDV, Bale etc, is that most of your best players in this side are English, which means they are less likely to **** off abroad, which is good for you guys. Eriksen is the target, he's the one that needs to leave. Because Spurs are infidels and shouldn't be where they are, so La Liga needs to hurry up and get to work on tearing this team apart Traditionally we have always been able to trust Man united and Real Madrid to do the business. Man United are probably not so much of a big draw away from Spurs right now, so it is to La Liga that we look
What Levy put Man Utd thru when signing Berbatov mentally damaged Fergie so badly he had to retire early. And get Real Madrid. 4 years later they are still wondering how they paid Spurs 86m for the next CR7, but he hasn't yet arrived in the post.
Utterly Levyed for 86m. Still, get Real Madrid can at least be thankful their state-sponsored unsettling campaign worked before they had to pay 100m quid.
I take all of that as a compliment, Bodi. On a serious note, I cannot see any of our young players wanting to play under Mourhino, even if they believed that United is going to be a better place to play football than at Spurs, over the next few seasons (which I seriously doubt they would), and even if Levy was prepared to sell to United (which I seriously doubt he is). As regards Real, or any other club, the problem from them is that we do not need to sell. Now, in the past, that may not have posed any worry for the club doing the tapping-up, but Spurs were in a very different place to where they are now. Not only could we not offer CL football, but we didn't look like a side that was able to guarantee success. To the extent that any Prem side is able to guarantee success, we look as well placed as any other side. All that leaves the tapping-up club with is the lure of increased wages. However, the idea that these clubs will simply double whatever Levy offers is ludicrous and unworkable. Sure, if the player is going to be shoe-horned in as the main player in that position for the tapping-up club, perhaps they can justify paying £150k - £200k per week, but not for a player that is going to spend most of his time on the bench. I have no doubts that Levy will break our wage-structure to keep the likes of Alli and Kane at Spurs, and he'll do the same for Eriksen, if Poch tells him that the player is irreplaceable in the current market.
He's an interesting chap. Was highly thought of before we came in and rebuffed all comers. Was adamant would only leave Ajax for the right club. Money was never a driving factor. I hope he sees Spurs like that. 2 more years keeping the squad together and I am sure all their ambitions will be realised.
If you werent playing all your home matches at Wembley next year, I might agree. But that fact, coupled with a Manc spending spree (Blue and Red), I am not even sure you will finish top 4.
