I went on a night out with a bunch of police Armed response guys once, great characters, all very calm and intelligent. They do a tough job really well.
People always quick to criticise the police, but who steps in where danger is...who has to see things that none of us want to. Not perfect, but no group of human beings ever could be, but if I was in trouble I'd rather be dealing with a British bobby than most of those abroad.
Yes. I am biased because I know one. I have had a couple of evenings with a group too and they were all pretty egotistical, but in a good way and great fun.

Can someone please explain why, when wanting to insert a picture, I am asked for the "image url", and not prompted to select image from wherever? I'm sure I have posted a picture before, but now it appears to be beyond my limited knowledge.
Do it using "upload file" if the phot is on your phone or on your PC hard drive. It then asks you to choose file and you select your photo/file. The route you are looking at is if linking to an Internet photo.
I was at my butcher this morning wanting something different for dinner. He offered me eight legs of venison for £50. Does anyone know if that's too dear?
Our ice cream man was found lying on the floor of his van covered with hundreds and thousands. Police say that he topped himself.
Doc I can't stop singing The Green, Green Grass of Home' "That sounds like Tom Jones syndrome. 'Is it common?' "It's not unusual."
"You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen. It said, 'Parking Fine.' So that was nice."
Same. I do it from an I-phone. Press Post Reply first and then Once you've clicked Upload File it should give you a "choose file" option which then should open up a page where you can click Photo Gallery.. Then click the phot you want. On the I-phone I sometimes then have to wait a. Little for it to load... Then you get the mini icon of your photo and you click full image and then Post reply.
