So the half term trip is going well. We drive to Leeds to see sister in law and then today off up to Edinbugh. Currently at Berwick train station after the wife crashed my jag 20 minutes into her driving stint... Thankfully all safe!!
Safe onward journey FLT......cars can always be replaced, but when repaired maybe you should do the driving
Mrs Q did the same thing last week. We're 1-1 in crashes now. She handled it pretty well to be fair and no one was hurt but instead of getting the AA to drop her off at the garage, she just put the knackered car back in front of the house. Helpful.
Can't really "Like" this, can I? As long as the occupants were all ok, then it's just an inconvenience ..... an expensive kind, mind you ....
It's where a forum 'like' becomes an ambiguous thing. I had a similar situation a few weeks ago. I told the author that I couldn't 'like' the sentiment, but I agreed with it. I often think that 'like' should be replaced by 'acknowledge'. But most software writers probably don't have the best idea of English beyond the cool. It's mostly binary or compilers for them. Besides, 'acknowledge' is decidedly old school.
Let's get to the important stuff....you're going to get it fixed before you have to pick up Saint Helen I hope. Priorities, Fats. Priorities.
Can you imagine if I have to collect Welsh Royalty in either the wife's car or a naff old courtesy car. I'll talk to the insurance company and explain!* * don't hold your breath. Currently trying to make insurance company understand that them saying the body shop near Northampton providing a courtesy car to my house whilst I'm in Edinburgh doesn't help much!!
I'm royalty now?! Seriously, I drive a Corsa so as long as you can get me to and from St Mary's I'll be eternally grateful though I do draw the line at a tandem...
Drinking my cup of tea at my Auntie's house in Edinburgh, I think of Fran and Helen when I see the mug I'm using....
The only difference is that chocolate doesn't last long enough in my house to get a word in. It has me at hello.
