The official wendies meet up thread.

It looks like quite a few are making the trip on the 25th and indications are that many are anticipating meeting up for a few beers along the way. I dont intend to over manage this and set an itinary out ala wj, but just some basic timings might be a plan.

Eires plane is due into LBA at 9.00 p, thats if it doesnt come down in a fireball. So he is likely to be at leeds station at 9.40. I will train it in for the same time. So a pint and a breakfast at wetherspoons seems a good plan. Anyone else is more than welcome to join us... If you want to let us know who will be at the station feel free.

The intention is to meet Marcos and bad boy in the peacock at 11.00 again everyone is welcome to meet us there. Feel free to let us know who we are looking out for.

Post match is where things will start to get messy. So was thinking billys straight after the game and take it from there.. Might well get back into town......... Again all welcome.

Wetherspoons in the station is open. Come through the barriers onto the station concourse. Turn left and its about 50 yards on the left.

Last time i did an all dayer i fell asleep on the train back and woke up to hear "this is wakefield westgate".i jumped up and launched myself at the door.completley forgot about the step and stumbled forward on to the platform.bet i looked a right berk.

As you should know i am supposed to be off the grog on doctors advise.
But i have been limbering up with an odd scoop now and again over the last week or so.
I try not to see 7 on a work day... No fooking chance on a weekend.

 

Leaving st seven so, traffic permitting, Peacock for 11 (and a bit of catching up to do by the sounds of it). Billy's after until about half three then off home leaving you pros to it!!

My flights in at 9 so will probably hit Witherspoon by 9.45. Might be knackered though as I catch bus to dublin airport at 3.30 am

He's Irish - that would be a waste of good drinking time! Why sleep when you can have a wee drink? He's got a slab of Guinness for the bus & will restrict himself to 6 pints on the plane.

 

Yes. Will be dumping bags at hotel then walking over to the Peacock with a couple of mates. Will look out for you. Not sure about timings yet. Will update on the thread next week. Out after too.
