Very unlikely to have been a teacher, I could hire a car and give my profession as a brain surgeon...
There's a picture in tonight's Standard that must have been taken a split-second after that one, Nines, and It gives a very different impression of the woman in the head-scarf. She looks genuinely distraught in the Standard pic. I can't find it online, I'm afraid.
Interesting reply? This was my original post: "I have seen this muppet on a tv program preaching hate. If it ends up being him, then a lot of people will ask why these freaks aren't locked up or deported before they get the chance to do this?" I clearly say that they were preaching hate and should have been sorted at the time for breaking the law and should not get the chance to commit these atrosities. That is not Orwell or Orwellian. in fact it is the complete opposite. If you are going to try and quote Orwell at least put it in the right context. It might make you sound more itelligent. Secondly your quote on 'closed minded' is also wrong but I won't labour the point.
Tells you all you need to know about that lowlife firm and it's principles, or lack of them... Well done the cabbies...
This really brings it home. We were in London last October and visited the Houses of Parliament. An officer by the name of Keith Palmer was happy to pose with us for a photo once he learned that we had travelled all the way from Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, Australia. It sent a shiver down my spine when I realised Keith was the officer who was killed in the London terror attack which took place last night. I spoke with Keith for quite a while and found him to be a genuinely nice bloke. He said he would love to visit Australia with his family one day. The girls suggested if he did make it to Australia, he should visit Alice Springs and we would show him how special a place it is. That will never happen now, all because he was doing his job and trying to keep people safe in the face of yet another crazy terror attack. Our thoughts are with his wife and family. With everyone so suspicious of everyone else these days, he was happy to chat and smile for a photo with a bunch of Territorians on holiday whilst still remaining vigilant and carrying out his duties as a police officer. please log in to view this image
It's a story that CH4 News have been running for about a year, Uber, whilst the BBC wouldn't touch it. Who'd have thought that?
Prefer it from this source Ubes me old mucker? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4319206/CPS-sent-files-election-expenses-20-Tory-MPs.html I think we should have another election so the Tories can win fair and square.
Sad truth is it doesn't matter where the story comes from or how many versions of it there are, those people still wouldn't vote Labour with that muppet Corbyn as leader...
[ That may well be true Sooper, but at least 9 of the seats were Liberal/Tory marginals. There must be a reasonable chance that the Liberals could win some or all of them back in by-elections.
I honestly don't think the small amounts of spending were the difference, I think it was the opinion polls showing the SNP may hold the balance of power that swung it in the final couple of days. However, as with the personal expenses scandal, it shows politicians and, particularly their backroom staff, of all parties are perhaps the most duplicitous characters you may be unfortunate enough to meet and in the end they'll do anything to cling to power...
Each to their own. I find the fact that the Tories may have bought the election rather significant. Imagine a legal case being brought against Brexit on the basis that the general election result was invalid. Such fun.
