That article was posted an hour and fifteen minutes ago.
Your comment echoing the exact same talking points was posted 52 minutes ago.
That's an incredible coincidence if it isn't what prompted the post.

Let's assume that it's not, though. What evidence do you have to back your claims about press coverage?

Could someone put the following into the OP as a reminder to new or returning comtributors ?

"Rules for discussing an issue on this thread :

    1. Everything is Trump's or Russia's fault
    2. Russia is bad, America and EU is good.
    3. Everything russian press says is wrong. Western press is always right.
    4. When a topic is raised, instead of considering it, learning from it, researching it, thinking about it, or discussing it, just rememberules 1, 2 and 3 (which can never be wrong), and apply them to the topic raised.
    5. Know you are right, because you know rules 1 2 and 3 can NEVER be wrong."

    <cheers>

Putin is a ruthless dictator who brooks no opposition to his rule. Elections are rigged to keep him in power. Any political opponents are imprisoned, disappear, or are assassinated.

But, apart from those minor faults, I'm sure he's a stand up guy!....

Douglas Carswell is leaving UKIP and is looking to stand as an independent MP for Clacton, which has led to waffling gargoyle Nigel Farage and UKIP bankroller Arron Banks to both mouth off in a manner that makes them both sound like ex-lovers that are bitter for being dumped.

Here's the issue, though: it was both Carswell and Mark Reckless both jumping to UKIP that saw Cameron have his idiot idea of gaining short-term political gain with the promise of an EU referendum, and what benefit did they get from it? Cameron ****ed up royally and then ****ed off when he knew he'd ****ed the country, Reckless was voted out in the 2015 election so UKIP dumped him into the Welsh Assembly, while Carswell was habitually at loggerheads with Farage and Banks as they didn't like the idea of someone in the party other than them having actual power. More than anything else, UKIP are back where they were three years ago, with no MPs and a party figurehead who is more interested in the sound of his own voice than anything else.

    Farage is an uber-tw*t.
How the good people of Britain voted for Brexit when he'd been championing the cause for years is beyond me.

You can add Louise Mensch to the list, with or without her comedy American accent.

I thought we sent their ilk to Australia, not the US?

Liz Truss is officially the worst Lord Chancellor ever. It helps to have a tiny bit of knowledge of what your Ministry does.
I thought the Tories were meant to be the well educated, clever people?

It says a lot that I can never remember who half of May's cabinet are. Based on the performances of Hammond and Rudd, they can't remember what their jobs are either.

Just on this point, Truss doesn't even know/acknowledge that Parliament makes laws and courts apply them. As soon as judges are required to do what politicians require, we become the same as every other dictatorship. The government can do what it wants without any checks and balances. We have separation of powers to rein in political excesses. But the Tories are above all this though. Even though the courts have shot down many of their laws as unlawful/unfair/unreasonable, they don't look at themselves and what they are attempting to do, but blame the judges for doing their jobs<doh>
It would be laughable if it wasn't so worrying....

Mensch is nearly as ridiculous as her wandering accent, but she's intensely anti-Trump.
She's gone off the deep end a bit with the conspiracy theories, honestly.
Very funny to watch people calling her a liberal, though! <laugh>

She's currently suggesting that Flynn's flipped and is going to give evidence against the Trump campaign.
He does seem to have disappeared, but I'll believe it when I see it.

I have long since come to the conclusion that Americans don't know what the word "liberal" actually means, after all it's a word that was regularly hurled at Hillary Clinton, yet to imply she is remotely left-wing would cause Michael Foot to perform capoeira in his grave. Similar can be said for how CNN and MSNBC are considered "liberal" not for their political slant, but because they're less sociopathic than Fox News.

    ?????

You didnt know what country Mosul is in, yet you argue it has received more press coverage than Aleppo.

    That speaks for itself.

Instead of having this halfwitted agenda of arguing black is white, how about actually considering an issue raised, and consider and discuss it objectively with a view to having an impartial and balanced dialogue ?

As a starter, ask yourself honestly which of the following you have seen/heard/ read more articles/ news items about :

    1. Civilian casualties of Russian bombing of Aleppo
    2. Civilian casualties of American bombing of Mosul

Stop insulting anyone that disagrees with you and actually provide some evidence to support your claims.
I've heard a lot more about the American bombing of Mosul, but that could just be my own experience.
Do you have anything that illustrates a clear difference?
