His contract is up next season, but they do have an option of another year. Already seems a lifetime ago he was breaking into our team and becoming a regular.
Conta says that Pedro's injury is more serious than was thought...he has a fracture near his eye (after incident in match against Arsenal last week).
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-40727972 Remains to be seen how big an impact this will continue to have on fans' ability to watch live games (particularly the Saturday 3pm ones - we might even have a few of these this year!)

Funniest thing on that page is the news that Carroll is 'unfit' for the start of the season. Some people have been cruel and compared him to a donkey in the past, a donkey would've been shot years ago.
http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40767568 Liverpool fans vote overwhelmingly in favour of safe standing. Reckon this will be here in a few years.
Would increase the capacity though. And sometimes part of the Northam doesn't stand, or perhaps some who do do so out of necessity rather than wanting to? Give people the choice I say, though you'd have to have a big chunk of away ends across the country the same though imo. Would improve atmosphere I reckon.
If it means we can get rid of the "Stand up, if you love (insert fave team here)" song, then I'm all for it.
I wouldn't want to stand, personally (apart from jumping up when we score a goal, of course!) but don't have any problem with it.
One of the euro games last year I picked a seat in an area where most stay seated as I'd done me knee in and standing was a pig. Of course I had a slightly deranged, drunk chap right in front of me who took it very personally if you didn't bob up and down in time to his particular wishes. It's the only time I've considered giving someone a firm push (he was over one of the exits) and god I felt very old! I miss the atmosphere (and chaos) standing generated. But couldn't hack it now.
A Liverpool newspaper has apologised after likening Leipzig to the Nazi SS for not letting a Liverpool target leave....compounded by making a joke about Ebola.
That's Liverpool for you. Sheffield Wed was a massacre, Heysell was an incident. Glasshouses and stones?
