Not sure I understand you, Vern. You stated that my analogy was not quite right, offered your own and are now saying that your opinion is unimportant. I don't think I offered any judgement on McGuinness other than said that I'm sadder at the passing of Colin Dexter. Other than that I agree with everything you said! Keep on trucking!
Just really sad at the world Uber...innocent people are dying for reasons other people think are important... I cannot see it myself. I'm just really sad and I lack understanding tonight...I keep thinking of the woman on the bridge....in no way was she involved in any of this....but her family are now missing a mother/wife /sister....
For someone with an apparent decent level of intellect, you do type some worthless ****e sometimes. Do not have the time to intellectually and morally pulp your statement to submission- will just leave you with this barb.
Thank you for your kind comments Danish, although I agree that sometimes I let myself down. I posted that reply because I thought the original post was of poor taste on the RIP thread. Personally, I would have used the political thread, joke or not. My response was clear and well thought out. Obamacare has cost lives and we should not mock some poor sod who cannot afford to get treatment. You should read up on it.before you comment on my post https://www.forbes.com/sites/theapo...e-obamacare-is-not-saving-lives/#5cfc66fa7d3c
Did you read that article Ellers? What it does is take the US mortality rate (a statistic that could be affected by a multitude of factors) for one year - rather than allow a pattern to emerge after, say, ten years - and uses it to denounce ACA. In no way does it support your bizarre contention that having access to healthcare that they would previously been denied caused people to suffer and die.
Even the biased article that Ellers quoted allows that more people have cover. There were obviously problems with Obamacare, but, instead of trying to fix them, Trump arrogantly decided he would rip it up and start again. He failed - another in a growing list of failures for the Trump administration. .
This is where you are wrong again. Your anti-Trump/Tory rhetoric lets you down time and time again. Obamacare has not been working and if you actually read some of the fab press stories online you will see that. Trumpton is trying to make it better but the democrats have stopped him. I listened to an excellent news item yesterday on CNBC which stated that Trumpton was actually trying to do some good only to have the usual bashers stop him. Maybe if you listened to both sides of an argument you may not sound so bitter.
Have to disagree with you again. The new trump plan was dreadful, so bad that even members of his own party wouldn't vote for it.. Also CNBC is the most left wing cable station of them all.
For ****'s sake Ellers, even Durbar is telling you you are wrong - Trump's own party torpedoed this bill. Do you really think the article you posted proved your daft assertion about Obamacare killing people? As to your point about listening to both sides of an argument - you're kidding right? Pot and ****ing kettle mate.
Durbar do you not think the reason he is struggling to get stuff done is because it's Trump? Secondly, are you saying Obamacare is working?
RIP - black football boots. Replaced by a horrific mix of garish, often luminous, multi coloured hideousness that gives teams a nasty mismatched look.
Its getting worse by the year as the Insurance company realize its costing them a lot of money, so what do they do, raise prices. Everyone has insurance but the deductibles are getting higher and higher so people cant afford to use the cheap insurance.
