As I said before, Hooper for me, he has the proven know how in this Division that neither Gayle or Gray does. Yes he may be slower than the previous two, but we already have 3 speedy strikers in Kodija, Agard and Burns, but only one with a bit of craft in Wilbraham, but he will not play 46 games this season, so a signing like Hooper makes sense from both a tactical and financial perspective.
I thinks it more 4-6 weeks but guess he would struggle at a medical. Also hadn't he started every game so far? Doesn't mean much I suppose when you consider Baldock started every game for us before he left but I still think this transfer would be very unlikely
Hopefully the bookies know something we don't. I rate this one more than the other two https://www.betvictor.mobi/#/sports/3/meetings/58041110/events/618617500
I would have been surprised to see Smith return to Ashton Gate despite his influence and contributions to our great season last time out. Smith was never regarded as quick (was he?) but primarily a target man and could Hooper could offer that same kind of value to the squad? We are possibly in for an interesting and educational week, so hang on to your hollyhocks.
Norwich report that they are not going to sell 2 top players, in spite of strong rumours that Hooper is heading to Sheff Wed.
Albert Adomah is reportedly told Middlesborough he wants to leave, setting up a possible return to city
Took time to review Albert's statistics and they are as follows. Bristol City 2010-2013 Average games/season 43 Goals scored Average 6 Middlesbrough 2013-2015 " " / " 42 " " " 8 Not a prolific scorer but manages to play nearly all games. Is he the kind of player that could fit in with our new scheme of things, if he is available?
Gaeten Bussmann.. http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2015/gaetan-bussmann-approached-by-qpr-bristol-city/
I've seen all this on OTIB, including a Metz fans forum. I really do wonder if this is an elaborate hoax mainly because the fact that it claims that QPR are also interested. Sounds too much like a wind up based on the fact that QPR took Konchesky from under our nose and were also allegedly on the edge of the dealings with others we've been talking to.
Bristol City FC Supporters PageUpdate on this deal.. city are actually in talks with the French side, a deal is thought it be around £1.4 million, but nothing agreed yet.
Hooper gone to Sheff Wed on loan for a reported 500K loan fee and 32K a week wages. Forget the loan fee and ask yourself if we are prepared to pay anyone that kind of money? I have no idea what the salary range is at Bristol City but I doubt whether anyone is any near close to 32k/week - are they?
