Always wondered what caused that. Can only imagine that Fonte told him to stop being so up himself or he got fed up and put him on his arse in training.

I think we all wanted Osvaldo to succeed here....everyone loves a character, but you can't be such a character that you isolate yourself from the team.

 

If/when Norwich get relegated ,how long will it be before we are linked with Redmond again?

Watching the extended highlights, from the Villa game, I heard Dave Merrington comment about having a good look at Villa's defensive midfielder, Gana.
Don't know much about him, other than he's Senegalese, but saw somewhere, today (can't remember where) that his stats put him in the top 5 or 6 players in EUROPE, for his position. Anyone think he's worth a look? Can't get my head around how his stats can be so good in such a poor team.

 

We were linked to him pretty heavily in the summer, before he joined Villa. In terms of the stats it is probably slightly skewed in that Villa have probably had low possession % in majority of games so their players are more likely to cover more ground/make interceptions/tackles as they are chasing the ball more than other teams.

I really haven't seen enough of him to say whether or not I'd want him at Saints, but I guess there must be a reason we didn't go in for him in the summer, unless he turned us down for Villa at the time.

 

There is an attacking mid at the Boro who seems to be able to crack a view goals in, might be worth a look

 

So where are we with silly transfer out rumors?

Leicester and Tottenham battling for Wanyama.
Lazio is signing Pelle.
Man U want to swap Depay for Mane.
Chelsea targeting Forster.

And why not? Gotta remember the lad is only the same age as Ward-Prowse. Folk on here scoffed at the prospect of buying Andros Townsend, and look how bloody good he is now for Newcastle. Also Redmond can play left wing, right wing, or behind the striker.

 

I scoffed at signing Townsend. Let's not forget that he scored a marvellous free kick and a good goal against us (at 3-0 down). He wastes loads and makes poor decisions. He's incredibly inconsistent and still not for me.

I tried to filter out the really stupid ones.

I think Pelle to Lazio has a good chance of happening. Wanyama being moved is also likely, though I don't see him going to Leicester. Depay for Mane won't happen, just because player swaps are complicated. I suppose Chelsea would have some interest in Forster, but I can't see him being a major target.

 

Any chance we could sneak Denis Suarez out of Villareal?

 

Barca have a buy back clause.
