Nothing to swap but I'll buy this cash, if you'll accept that. How much?

I'm looking for a BMW 3 series e46 shape coupe either a 325 or a 330 to take to bits and use on a track. Must be manual and ideally under 90k miles, will pay up to 4k.

Probs a long shot on here like, but if anyone has one or knows anyone, let me know!

325 is a cruiser mate, one of the least fun cars I've ever had the misfortune to drive.

An Octavia VRS would be far more fun and probably a lot cheaper.

If I got a 325 I've a 330 engine for it mate, hence why I'm looking for a BMW. I bought a 330 that had been rear ended a while back, and we eventually went to fix it and it's mangled, but the engine only done 44k.

I could buy a 316 or some **** a lot cheaper, but then I'd have to change everything on it for the extra weight of engine and that's a ball ache, ha.

Got ya, can't help you though mate <laugh>

The good thing is, you can probably get a cheap cat-d or cat-c repaired, if all you're gonna do is fling it round a track it won't make any odds.

Aye, you'd think so, but I'm finding it harder than I expected.

It's not finding one, it's finding one relatively local, loads in your neck of the woods and across to Merseyside etc, but the few I'm finding in the North East are daft money or Auto, no good to me.

I'm not spending £5500-6500 for summat to effectively dick about with.

If you're after a bargain mate get on the BCA site and scan their catalogues, anybody can register.

You pay roughly 6% in fees when you buy the car, Brighouse will be your best bet for older BMW's

I got the Mrs a 1 series conv from there, about 3 grand under the book value.

Aye might be worth a look, I never considered that as I didn't think I'd have too much worry finding one like, they stopped producing the e46 in 2005 you'd think they'd be everywhere for next to nowt, but they ain't.

    Annoying. Ha.

If you find one from a dealership and you need to finance the car, let me know, my job is providing finance to customers who are buying cars new or used I can offer you an APR of 6.9 % for a loan of £3k upwards.

Won't need a loan for this mate (I've found one today, in Manchester which is a bastard but so be it, road trip!....), but will bear in mind what you do for future ref <ok>

Haha, funny thing mate, it just seems the kind of cars I tend to go for there are stacks of them in the North West, not so many in the North East.

My main car, although bought from a main dealer, Coppers in Sunderland, previous owner was in Middleton as well! Funny how it's that way!

By the way mate, I have a few tickets for SAFC at City on Boxing Day, away end if you fancy it? Guests of Etihad!

Are you going? I dunno what my plans are over Xmas yet pal. How many spare you got? Sounds like a ****ing good plan mind, we're away to Stoke in the early kick off.

Yeah I'll be there, I've got 4 and at the minute only 2 being used, it's tricky for some folk over Christmas as you can imagine. If there's no take up I'll offer them spares to lads on here, a group of my pals (the ones with bairns) are heading to Euro Disney hence the unusual situation of spares.

Like I say mate, I'm up for it but I've not sorted my plans out for Xmas, I think 90% I'm gonna be staying here in Manchester. Get Disco involved as well mate, he's living up here now as well, unless you don't like him, not many people do... he's sort of annoyingly smug about everything.

Ha, actually that would be ideal, we arranged to meet up in London a few times and for various reasons it never happened, that would be a canny plan.

Will discuss closer to the time, if none of the lads decide they can make it.
