Super Kelvin Davis The title says it all. Today Super Kelvin Davis will be making his 300th appearance for Saints and what a man he has been for our club. I remember the day that I heard he was called while about to sign for West Ham to say that we had been saved and would he come back. Man that must have been the speediest drive back to Hampshire. Every other video the club have done, you'll see Kevin larking about in the back ground, calling out a window or throwing something at the interviewee. He must have been amazing in the dressing room for the youngsters coming through, for the big players when having a tough time or the club as a whole when things were bad. Let's use this thread to post up some happy memories of Kelvin on and off the pitch. Keep them coming. Super Kelvin Davis is the Spirit of the Southampton FC. Thank you Kelvin for everything.
Davis has been a good servant to the club........I hope they can actually find a roll for him as I think it will be an asset to the coaching team.
Forgot about that. The 3-2 Man City first-game-back-in-the-Prem has to go down as one of my fave ever defeats. If Kelvin hadnt saved the penalty it would have been 5-0 to city, and would have killed our confidence.
Moments that stand out for me: 1. Brighton Penalty save - was celebrated like a goal. 2. Leeds - no words needed. 3. Burnley - still had it in him. 4. Chelsea - arching back when chipped and managed to tip it onto the bar. Unbelievable save. 5. 299 games. A true Saints legend.
Love the guy. I would think he still has a season or two in him at Championship level. But there is no doubt he should have some role at the club if possible. What he brings off the pitch appears to be enormous, when new players arrive at a club someone like him really helps in the bedding in process.
Leeds was like a dream, a sweet highlight of a wonderful Saints career, he's a player we owe a lot of gratitude. I do hope he sticks around in some capacity.
I was looking up some stats on our "old" keeper Kelvin and was horrified to see he wasn't even born when we won the FA Cup. Jeez, maybe he's not so old after all 9 years at Saints. #legendskd
Has to be the Leeds game for me , I remember listening to it on the radio and kept thinking he will let one in a minute! Really hope the club can find a role for him.
